Why the hell did I choose an occupation to make it more of a challenge for my DR novel? I can't even get the plot right because this particular occupation overlaps. At this point, think I had it the first time around instead of the third time around. I just need to make sure it works. #booksky

Historical Fiction isn't my usual genre, but I'm glued to this novel #booksky

Only 5 chapters in of my rough draft and I'm already suffering from Imposter Syndrome..... I really need to stop doubting myself. #booksky #aspiringauthor

I'm officially working on my potential debut duology. What sucks is I'm way too much of a perfectionist even with the rough draft. That's the obstacle I need to stop doing. It's not easy to stop. Did the rough draft w/ prologue to the first few chapters, though. #aspiringauthor #booksky

The problems with over thinking is that you end up getting a random thought of writing your own Dark Romance. Think I can do it. #booksky

Guess I'm going to pick up The Great Gatsby. I seriously have a love/hate relationship with that book, but it does help me get out of a reading slump. Think that's the only positive thing about it, tbh 😒 #booksky

I'm in a weird reading slump. I want to read, but I don't. Maybe novellas will help, even they are a swing and a miss of being satisfied. Then yet, I did read 18 books this month. For 2 yrs, I rarely went through this. This year is horrible. Hope 2027 won't be so bad. #booksky

My Classic TBR: pt. 3 (and final) Uncle Tom's Cabin- Harriet Beecher Stowe Les Miserables- Victor Hugo Gulliver's Travels- Jonathan Swift <--Going to try this book again. #booksky

I was today years old to find out that Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe was a banned book. It was banned in the Confederate States due to it being anti-slavery. Apparently, the more you know. #booksky

My Classic TBR: Pt. 2 The Iliad-Homer The Odyssey-Homer A Caribbean Mystery-Agatha Christie The Trial-Franz Kafka Dracula-Bram Stoked The Mysterious Island-Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-Jules Robinson Crusoe-Daniel Defoe Around the World in 80 Days-Jules Verne More to come #booksky

Depression is a bitch. Reading isn't helping like it always does, either. It's to the point where I want to stop at book #155 for the year and it's only July. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a little better. #booksky #mentalhealth

I really need to stop adding more books onto my kindle and try to put a dent in my TBR pile....... Oh, well. Whatever I don't read this year will be for next year. #booksky

For once, I started in January. The past 2 years, I don't know why I started in February because it kind of threw me off. However, I haven't been on here lately bc I was too busy sticking my nose into books. Hopefully, I'll be sharing more on here in the future. #booksky

I kept my word and went back to Storygraph. I'm currently rereading Lights Out by Navessa Allen to get myself out of a reading slump so I can finish Tempted by Felicity Brandon. #booksky

I hate being such a mood reader sometimes 😩 #booksky

2025 books I enjoyed so far #booksky

Th greatest thing about books that has 500+ or more pages, is that you can take a break from them and read shorter ones to help get through it. #booksky

Fact.

Maga is the true definition of irony(?) They call Trump king but also celebrate the day when we officially received our independence so we didn't have one. Ummmmmm.......... I'm close to giving up educating them.

Why do I torture myself with books that has long chapters? My attention span sucks with them 😒 #booksky

What he should do is reverse the Presidential Immunity.

I'm finally reading Agatha Christie. I struggled the first time around with 'Death On The Nile' but it worked with 'The Mysterious Affair At Styles.' #booksky

I really need to stop adding more books to my To-Read Pile. Every other day, I add at least 2-5 books while I'm currently reading one 😒 #booksky

Might as well on this rainy damp day #booksky

Had a late cup of coffee today and now I'm going to be up most of the night reading, while watching Sons of Anarchy. #booksky

Jesus fuck.

Yeah. Let's have children take Vitamin A supplements when they don't have any deficiency. Just let them suffer from either Acute and/or Chronic Vitamin A toxicity. That should cure measles right up 🙄

Watergate: I'm the biggest scandal in Presidential history Signalgate: Hold my beer

Trump supporter Rick Fuze was arrested in Berkeley for using a stun gun on peaceful protesters outside a Tesla dealership. Fuze claimed they were paid protesters and he went there to show his support for Musk and DOGE.

People wanting the US go into isolationism doesn't understand the negative impact it will have. But go on thinking it's 100% good idea without thinking the reasons why it's a bad idea.

So accurate 😩

People acting surprised when the JFK files were released never paid attention to anything. None of this is new information. Same thing over the MLK, Jr. files. All of this has been known for decades. Silly me. I forgot they have the attention span of a goldfish.

There needs to be an edit button on here. Anyway.... Crappy weekend with a book. I forgot that I had the Amazing Wheel app so I'm currently using that to help me choose a book once whenever the current is finished. #booksky

Currently reading my 9th book for 2025 and it sucks. I want to read so bad, but my mind wanders due to the crazy shit that's been going on. I have a feeling I won't read over 407 books like I did last year only because 2024 was nothing but peace & 2025 is nothing but hell. #booksky

Sigh Finally I pushed myself to read, even though I've been wanting to these past few days!!!! It took me 5 books to get back in the groove of things. #booksky

I haven't really a book since November or December of last year and it's still taking me a while to start again. I hate these spurts sometimes.
