Has anyone seen pro willie wilson accounts pop up supporting him? New accounts, making videos about how unaffordable chicago is, and then in some random video talk about how willie wilson is doing something about it (yeah sure)? All accounts ive found made Sept 23/24. (vids in replies)

Clarification: first post was the 23rd/24th, unsure when these were made. no social media linked or any other info about these people. certainly these people are paid, i cant think of another reason why they'd post like this tt makingitworkdaily

i just watched a waymo pass 10+ cars in the right turn lane, put on its left blinker, and then cut in front of people in the intersection. this was in nashville too so they're actually self driving

I saw someone with a blog on here from some platform called "pckt". Their blog is irrelevant, but what IS relevant is the fact that each post on the homepage isn't a link, but a div with an onclick listener that redirects the page. Just a fucking stupid experience really.

New metra schedule format! We really need to make sure these extra trains are actually talked about. I wish Metra would add them to the gtfs with an approximate time, and then update it via gtfs-rt based on the actual game timings.

August ORD numbers are out! The leads in front of DFW and DEN continue to grow, with the gap between ORD and DFW being even bigger than the gap between ORD and DEN last year. We continue to catch up to ATL, albeit slowly. Good shit.

Go to your photos, search “boat”, and post one you like. Feels weird that just over 3 years ago I was working on the Chicago river. Life moves pretty fast man etc etc Ferris Bueller etc etc

Go to your photos, search “boat”, and post one you like. Twelve years ago today a barge somehow snapped in half in front of the 150 North Riverside job site.

So I get they're doing this because of tower 18, but surely it would be better to at least run the orange and green lines to clark/lake, no? or possible one to c/l and another to wash/wells?

Metra really needs a lazer train and I'm surprised there isn't much of an effort (AFAIK) to make one. There's enough disused equipment sitting around that an old gallery car (or hell, engine) could probably be modified like what the LIRR and MNR did

People like Andrew have no clue what its like to get off work and be exhausted and sore and still have to get home while the sun comes up hating everything about your life. I wanna see brochacho transfer 600lbs of tile between a shelf to a floor pallet and then pull it on a jack across a warehouse.

will you people shut the fuck up

Finally got July ORD and August DFW numbers. DFW is pretty damn close to 2025 ORD numbers (<500k) while ORD's current year 2nd place stays strong. I could clearly see ORD taking 1st place (within the US at least) when the new concourse opens in a few years.

ORD is up 6.1% YTD for total passengers, with more growth actually being international. Cargo tonnage is also up 1+% and aircraft operations is up a whopping *10%*!

Well, probably a good instance of this happening. Outbound red + outbound yellow + inbound red

CTA Train Insights@ctatraininsights.chicagotransitalerts.app

🚆 3 trains from 2 lines are close together at Howard right now Red Line: #843 (1️⃣), #938 (2️⃣) Yellow Line: #595 (3️⃣)

No clue where or when this was taken (it was just sent to me without any info). But another one for the books. I'm thinking a weigh station or something? Presumably theyre taking I80 or I88 into chicago, but that has to still be pretty far west because I don't really recognize it.
