If a game connected with you & changed your tastes in some meaningful way pls do urself favor and dig up the devs, their past work, their scene/peers & their influences. Don't be like those ppl who find the latest game in a long tradition & treat it like an exception

Trying to draw some rough drafts for settings for a story I had laid out. The idea is to show friends for feedback because I've decided I really need some outside help on certain things. It's been easier to pick up the pen at least. Especially now that it isn't fucking 85 degrees at night anymore

I am finally proud to announce that Shabadoo - feat. Valentina Jazz releases 5th September! A brand new single and music video featuring all sorts of angelic chaos and fun!

If old people compliment me on my looks then would that mean I have any chance of people *my* age liking how I look? I get so confused. It doesn't count right?

It was pouring today after I left work and the cab had another passenger. He got dropped off at a place I used to live at and just being inside the bounds of those gates made me nostalgic. I still miss living there.

But also the thought resurfaced in me that I could probably make some pretty entertaining shit if I just based story ideas off experiences I had when I was younger because I used to always be up to some bullshit

allergies have been flaring up so bad lately that I actually just feel like I'm sick and it's the worst thing ever. oh yeah and huge heat wave coming soon. anyone who can sit here and tell me they enjoy summer in this area is a damn liar

I think I'm gonna have to stay offline for a while and maybe only come on when I have some art I wanna post. I feel extremely sad and nothing I look at online is helping. I'm in need of a little break

oh my GOD MAN

Jorge R. Gutierrez says animating with AI was like “having sex and then they hand you the baby” during his appearance at the AI on the Lot convention. He currently has a project named ‘Punky Duck’ through Amazon MGM’s GenAI Creators’ Fund.

I noticed I've been yapping too fucking much and I apologize for that, I'm just getting that stuff out my system and I've been struggling artistically anyway. And I know it's because the shit I'm going through in real life is grinding me down too much. Just bear with me please, friends

I'll be honest I hate opening myself up for critique online when it comes to art. Not because I think I'm perfect, hell no, but because in online spaces it feels like there's always someone in the group that's looking for their chance to humiliate you and I don't wanna deal with that

That's why I just let my friends crit me. If I'm doing that stuff with strangers, it has to be in-person. I remember really enjoying in-person critique back in school cause the others there spoke in good faith

I worry a lot that my ability to really connect with others is completely shot now that I've been through so much trauma and disappointment related to those things. Expressing myself fully simply doesn't feel normal to me anymore and it's been bothering me for a while now

I think i just feel this way because I've been seeing some friends going out and having interactions with the ease I could only dream of. Meanwhile I get to go out with friends and stuff at times but apart from that I'm pretty isolated and I've felt broken for years

And given how long I've struggled with things like my self image and expression, never wanting people to think I'm dumb, being tired of feeling disrespected and ignored, being unable to find a partner I get concerned about whether or not friends think I'm pathetic or desperate

was never a big fan of art takes that amount to "(x) group are fundamentally incapable of depicting (y) thing correctly or respectfully" There's plenty of bad art but not everything comes from a bad place, that's a reductive thought process to have. it makes you hate shit before even looking at it

I'm not saying people don't make mistakes and whatnot, that would be stupid. But eh, takes like that just never sit right with me man. not when you tie them to things that are immutable and neutral characteristics. It's just hurtful

It's always eaten me up inside to think that the internet is what it is now. Just a toxic space where everybody hates everybody, when much earlier in my life, I had gotten into using it because I wanted to connect with people who were different from me to begin with. Shit just sucks now

And it's disappointing to me that the solution I'm faced with is that I'll have to just stop really trying to be online for a while. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way, but I'm so exhausted. I can't even bring myself to feel welcome in spaces related to my own hobbies anymore

I'll keep trying to find ways through this but damn is it hard. I really need to stop taking outrage content online so serious, knowing how badly it broke my brain even as far back as 2014 lmao

I'm still happy I managed to get all the platinums in this game. If you're wondering why I'm on NTCS-J, it was so I could play a version where the secret level times load correctly. Also I ran into a bug where I was able to do the second cortex fight when I was still missing one gem

Not sure exactly why it happened. the developers probably didn't envision people going for relics before gems in certain levels I did end up going back and getting absolutely everything but I swear this was how it happened. I beat Cortex the second time and *then* went back to get Hot Coco's gem

I saw everyone doing 3x3s of games and I considered doing one too but I can't narrow faves that far down so have a 5x5. I did this a few years ago but this one's changed up a little. I just went for what represents my tastes. 25 games that changed my brain chemistry

I always wanted to make a sort of journal comic about my problems because it could help my expression and generally be fun but doing so would involve so many deeply personal things for me that sharing it on social media might be dangerous with how hostile audiences can be and that's a shame

It would be nice to share my own story in a creative and entertaining way through doodles. I know for a fact it's very likely that at least twitter would bully me though.
