The mall, which had laid virtually dormant for months, felt like a bazaar Saturday, with vendors selling trading cards and homemade art around every corner. Thousands crowded around the ice rink to see the final skate of Jerry and Tally Leonard, who skated Lloyd Center weekly since 1967.

A little bit of fun - to me, the impressive new Gresham Library (unintentionally) echoes some of the elements of the Will Martin's Organ Grinder design. Hat tip @brianlibby.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/bobr...

Brian Libby@brianlibby.bsky.social

Gresham's new East County Library is incredible! It's no branch library, but a flagship like Central Library downtown. It's credited to Portland's Holst Architecture, but the design came equally (or more) from Ghanaian-Brit starchitect David Adjaye (who was dropped before construction). WOW.
