Since bsky is an open forum, we can't control who posts under some hashtags, to ensure you're only seeing the #DVpit feed try a multisearch of #DVpit + category/genre 1) All in quotes (no #): "DVPit YA" 2) Individual quotes: "#DVPit" "#YA" (capitalization does not matter when searching hashtags)

Thank you everyone who participated in #DVparty this week! See you all TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 at #DVPit!! Marginalized creators with completed unagented work come pitch your projects to literary agents and editors from 8AM - 8PM Eastern Time!!

Well, everyone, all things #PitchDis have wrapped up from my end! The pitches have been deleted from the site, the software has been tweaked for next year, and I've replied to all messages that needed a reply. Now I'm off to get some much needed rest.

One last bit of #PitchDis housekeeping for the year - all pitches will be deleted from the password-protected portion of our site by tomorrow night.

Well, I tried to post the #PitchDis wrap-up tonight but I don't think it's going to happen. Be on the lookout for it tomorrow!

Hi everyone, I'm working on the wrap up today, but I wanted to mention something here too. Please take a look at something on the #PitchDis eligibility and guidelines page. (1/5)

I'm sorry if you didn't receive a request. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with a registered agent or editor. I'm sorry if certain genres are selling better than others. But I have no control over these things. (4/5)

I try my best to connect as many authors with as many agents and editors as possible, and I always strive to make it fun and easy for everyone involved. But there's only so much I can do. I just ask that you keep this in mind before getting upset at me or the event itself (5/5)

Hi everyone, I'm working on the wrap up today, but I wanted to mention something here too. Please take a look at something on the #PitchDis eligibility and guidelines page. (1/5)

What this means: -I have no control over agent and editor requests or request rates -I have no control over the genres they do or don't request -I have no control over the publishing industry whatsoever and can't control what its looking for (2/5)

What I do have control over: -Making sure agents and editors who participate in #PitchDis are legitimate industry professionals via vetting -Providing these individuals with access to pitches you submitted (3/5)

Good morning, everyone. After I get some real life work done I'm going to start working on the stats you requested. Today will be the last day I'll take requests for them as I plan to have everything #PitchDis related wrapped up by Sunday.

Brand new #PitchDis stats before I call it a night! -77% of pitches received at least one request. Of those, the majority (61%) received one request. -Six different pitches received eight requests, which was the highest number received.

If I haven't answered your stat question yet that means I'll get to it this weekend. Some of them are difficult to calculate and will take some time.

A couple more #PitchDis stats. -83% of the BVM entries received requests -As of now the least requested genre seems to be memoir with 10% of entries receiving requests

If you have any specific #PitchDis stats you'd like to know, just let me know. I can't promise I'll be able to answer all of them but I'll try.

A few requested #PitchDis stats! -Only two entries were comedy -We only had one entry that was labeled both science fiction and speculative -We had five chapter books

#PitchDis stats time! I'll have a lot more during the week but here's a few. -698 pitches submitted -696 pitches eligible -559 people pitched -137 people submitted two projects.

I THINK I may have gotten the right email for the requests to the one person who had a typo in their email. Fingers crossed!

I got to all the emails but I have another favor to ask. Please don't ask me to contact agents/editors, or to pass along any messages. We had 559 participants this year & truthfully, I don't have the time to be everyone's messenger. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's true.

I also don't have any additional information beyond what was in your request. Please go to the agent/editor's site or their QueryTracker page if you need to get in touch with them, or their social media. Thanks 💜

#PitchDis recovery period update 😁 -I've replied to all the pending DMs from Twitter and Bluesky. I'll start on the email inbox shortly. -A few people got requests today 😊

Good morning, everyone! I have a very busy day ahead so I won't be online as much today. And just a reminder - although the #PitchDis request period is technically over, some requests may still go out. I'll try to get to some stats later on this evening!

And that is it for #PitchDis 2026! It was, quite literally, the longest #PitchDis ever 😁 Thank you so much for sticking with me through the glitches and chaos. But also, thank you for sharing your work with us 💜

To the agents and editors who participated in #PitchDis, thank you so, SO much for your patience during our technical difficulties and for all the requests you made. Your participation and enthusiasm for this event keeps it going 💜

And finally *drumroll, please* the total number of #PitchDis requests as of 8pm EDT - 1,186!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Stay tuned the rest of the week for the annual wrap up and some fun stats. Have a good night, everyone!

Okay #PitchDis pals. The official request period wraps up soon. Here's a thread of what happens next. -Don't be surprised if you receive requests after tonight. As long as agents and editors have pitches in their cart by 8, they can still send them out after.

Finally, I'll post the preliminary number of #PitchDis requests received at the time the window closes. It may change later on. Thanks so much for all your patience during these busy two weeks!!! 💜💜💜

Oh and I also wanted to add I didn't count the duplicate requests when getting the total requests, and it's still a big number 👀

-I have a busy day tomorrow, but at some point I hope to get some #PitchDis stats for you, including the ones you requested. I may try to spread them out through the week though.

-Emails will be replied to in order of importance. I'm sorry, but the "did I get a #PitchDis request?" emails will go last since we may get some late requests in. -I hope to post the annual wrap up by the weekend, but it may not be posted until next week.

🚨ATTENTION🚨 I've gotten a huge, and I mean HUGE, influx of emails this afternoon from people asking if they received any requests. The request window is still open. I'm not going to answer any of these emails until after it closes.

Friends, we had nearly 700 entries. And most people submitted just one pitch. I can't keep check on everyone. Please be patient and considerate about this. In the meantime, the requests system is working properly so all requests are going through.

Hi registered #agents and #editors! Just a reminder that since we had some technical difficulties last week we've extended the #PitchDis request period until today at 8pm EDT. Get those last-minute requests in 😊

Happy Monday! It looks like we had a few requests come in this morning. Two important reminders: 1. The #PitchDis request window closes tonight at 8pm EDT. 2. Make sure to check your spam folder for requests.

#PitchDis evening update. -We got a few more requests come in this afternoon! -About 67% of our registered agents and editors have sent in requests. -The request period wraps up tomorrow (Monday) night at 8pm EDT.

#PitchDis morning/afternoon update. -We had some requests come in today 🎉 -I'm going to be away until this evening volunteering for another group I'm involved with, so I may not update tonight unless we have more requests go out. Have a good Sunday!

#PitchDis evening update. -It's been quiet today, but we still have more than two days to go. -Exactly half of the registered agents and editors have made requests. -Emails currently in the inbox will be answered AFTER the request window closes on Monday.

#PitchDis this post is for you!! My plan had been to read your queries this weekend and this coming week but alas... Murphy's Law has struck again and an old pipe has done what old pipes do 🚿🚱 Therefore, I will not be reading queries as quickly as I had hoped.👇🏽

Long overdue #PitchDis update! -We had a handful of requests go out this morning. -I haven't gotten to most emails yet. And the reason why I didn't update sooner? I took a nice little road trip and made some new friends.

If you're an agent or editor who hasn't checked out the #PitchDis pitches yet now would be a good time. It's pretty quiet today so we shouldn't have any technical issues 😁 Also, a reminder that the request period has been extended until Monday at 8pm EDT.

Just had three requests for the same person bounce back because of a typo in their email ☹️ This is why it's super important to look over your form when you submit. Please remember that for next year 💜

#PitchDis Friday afternoon update. -The bad news is I'm sick with a stomach bug and am basically useless at the moment😭 -The good news is the requests are going through as they should and I'm not having to troubleshoot today.

Good morning, everyone! We had a few more #PitchDis requests go out overnight 🎉 Remember that the request window has been extended until Monday evening.

#PitchDis evening update -The last of the backlogged requests have been sent 🙌 -We had lots of new requests today, but the majority of agents and editors haven't made requests yet -I haven't had the time or energy to post stats, but I'll do that over the weekend or next week.

Heads up, everyone. If you put your name into the Book Title field and don't know which book has been requested, I unfortunately won't be able to help you. The agents and editors get full receipts with the entire pitch, but from my end I only get your title and email 🫤
