“I have nothing to hide” is the wrong frame. You close the bathroom door. You don’t share your salary with strangers. Your bank statement shows your health, politics, faith and relationships. Privacy isn’t secrecy. It’s control over who gets to know what.

Cash gave us that by default. Digital money doesn’t. Zero-knowledge proofs close that gap, on PIVX via SHIELD. Which payments of yours would you want only the recipient to see?

Everyone’s talking about Zcash this week. I think the real story is people waking up to financial privacy. Not as a trade. As a need. So let’s talk about it all week. First question: when did you last think about who can see your payment history?

Monero deserves respect: no VCs, privacy by default, a decade of community work. Genuinely cypherpunk. But cypherpunks write code that moves forward. Here’s why I think PIVX is the next step. 🧵

Privacy coins shouldn’t fight each other. Surveillance and delistings are the real opponents. But competition is cypherpunk too: may the best cryptography win. PIVX bets on SNARKs + PoS + DAO. What’s Monero’s strongest counter?

Honest question for Monero folks: designing a privacy coin from scratch in 2026, would you pick decoy-based rings, PoW and informal governance? Or SNARKs, PoS and on-chain voting? Genuinely curious.

Monero’s direction comes from rough consensus among a handful of voices. On PIVX, masternode holders vote on-chain on treasury and roadmap. If you hold the stake, you steer the chain. Which model gives the community more direct influence?

Monero: ring signatures, PoW, rough consensus. PIVX: zk-SNARKs, PoS, on-chain governance. Both reject VC capture. If cypherpunk means “best available cryptography, power with users,” I think PIVX is the more modern answer. Convince me otherwise.

Ring signatures hide you among decoys. zk-SNARKs prove a transaction is valid without revealing sender, receiver or amount at all. No guessing which decoy is real. That’s what powers PIVX’s SHIELD. Cryptography doing its job, not a clever workaround.

RandomX made mining friendlier, credit where due. But PoS goes further: stake from a laptop, no hardware race, no constant energy burn. PIVX has run PoS since 2016. That’s a decade of battle-testing, not a roadmap slide.

"Conflict was guaranteed the moment more than a handful of real humans showed up and started caring about the outcome. The actual question is whether it knows how to fight well. Most don’t. That’s not a PIVX problem. That’s a humans problem wearing PIVX merch." medium.com/pivx/what-a-...

A decade in crypto without changing your founding thesis and cypherpunk values is unheard of. PIVX forked from Dash in 2016 to improve privacy + pure PoS harder. And a decade later, same thesis, same chain, and -unlike DASH and Zcash- still what the Cypherpunks had in mind from the beginning.

Bitcoin maxis love to say Proof-of-Stake "isn't real crypto." Funny, since the actual cypherpunks wanted tools anyone could run, not an energy arms race that favors whoever has the cheapest electricity. PIVX has always been built for efficiency: you could stake on your household laptop since 2016.

Forced anonymity isn't freedom, it's just a different kind of control. PIVX's SHIELD lets YOU decide, transaction by transaction, what stays private. Radical idea: privacy should be a choice, not a mandate from your blockchain.

Unpopular opinion: most "privacy coins" aren't cypherpunk projects anymore. They dropped their pants to VC-backed companies wearing a cypherpunk aesthetic. PIVX has no ICO, no VC round, no foundation CEO. Just a DAO. That's the real cypherpunk ethos, alive. Since 2016. Change my mind.

🚨🇪🇺 The #ChatControl trilogue starts on Tuesday & the EU Council is trying to pressure Parliament into giving up its opposition. We must stop them once again! 💪🏼 Because no matter the framing, the truth remains the same: There's no backdoor for the good guys only! ➡️ fightchatcontrol.eu

I had a chat with LUMO AI yesterday, about the degrading dedication to the cypherpunk values, that once led to the creation of Bitcoin and later Zcash. Today, the crypto space has mostly been captured ny venture capitalists and greed. But one coin still sticks to those values: PIVX 💜

😡🚨 In July, the European Parliament approved Chat Control 1.0 👉 NOW, On September 29, the negotiations for CHAT CONTROL 2.0 RETURN. Unfortunately, this is a much bigger threat for everybody's #privacy. At Tuta we will continue to SAY NO to Chat Control and fight for our right to privacy ✊❤️

There should not be any doubt who Trump works for. Spoiler alert: it's not the American people.

Gas prices hit $4.46 a gallon today — a gain of 17 cents over the previous week and $1.26 higher than the same point last year. Diesel prices are up more than $2.74 from a year ago. Families, farmers, and truckers are all getting squeezed. Meanwhile...

PIVX is a really interesting play. Risky, but -let's be honest- with a much better upside chance than downside risk. Maybe for those who want to take some of your profits from Zcash and invest into the same technology, but without the venture capitalists. Not financial advice. Screenshot from X.

Everyone's queuing to jump into Zcash at these crazy prices. Meanwhile PIVX, fully functional community driven DAO without VC connection but, ongoing development, friendly community sits there at dirt cheap prices.

The cypherpunks wanted money with no masters: no trusted third parties, no capture, no gatekeepers. Bitcoin got institutionalized. Zcash has a corporate board. Monero's chained to PoW's energy politics. Who's actually still building what the manifesto asked for? PIVX is.

There's a third option nobody talks about: PIVX. Active since 2016, zk-SNARK shielded transactions, Proof-of-Stake, not mining pools. Masternode-governed, not boardroom-governed. Fees burned, not extracted. Micro-cap, unmarketed, and maybe the closest thing left to the original cypherpunk ethos.
