Hi Bluesky πŸ‘‹ We are Pixelhop, a small husband and wife run agency from the UK Making websites, apps, & other digital things for clients like F1, Bugatti, NBA and working on in house SaaS projects Currently working on Chat Thing, an AI assistant builder Love Vue.js Nuxt Prisma PostgrSQL Tailwind

Ok I couldn't help it! I used Astra to make a game! This is Neon shift, a futuristic crazy taxi inspired multiplayer game built with Three.JS and Colyseus I haven't had much time to polish yet but see if you can get the high score! Link πŸ‘‡

Don't make this same mistake! This is what it looks like if build a B2B SaaS and you don't build Teams/Organisations functionality right at the beginning πŸ˜…

Number one tip to get better results out of cursor/AI coding tools... After writing a big old prompt explaining what you want, always finish it "Do you understand the instructions and do you have any questions or suggestions?"

Usually you will be will be greeted with a few questions that are going to stop the AI making bad assumptions and massively increasing your chances of success without loads of back and fourth.

I wish Cursor tied chats to the current branch you are working on. I want to be able to be experimenting vibe coding a feature on one branch, then switch to another branch to implement something else small and come back to my vibe branch with all the cursor state restored.

Boss for my attempt at the @levels.io #vibejam is finally coming together It's a multiplayer pirate game, where you collect treasure and power-ups whilst battling other players Watch out of you are currently in the lead though! A giant octopus spawns and targets the lead player brutal ink attacks

I’ve just scheduled an email to go out to our subscribers about our Product Hunt Launch - doing some a/b testing with the subject line. What one do you think will do better? Also if you would like to follow us on Product Hunt you can find us here www.producthunt.com/products/cha... #buildinpublic

Getting ready for our next Product Hunt Launch πŸš€ wahooo! We haven’t for a couple years and made some mistakes so trying to make sure we don’t do them twice! Has anyone else done one? Check out our silly pic hehe www.producthunt.com/products/cha... #buildinpublic #indiehacker #producthuntlaunch

Turns out o1 is still pretty crap at chess! Just drawn with 4o in its first game πŸ˜…

Is OpenAI o1 good at chess? We've got it playing 4o currently here so will be interesting to see! llm-battle.chatthing.ai

Yay our AI support ticket bot is very happy with us this morning! No outstanding support requests so instead its told us to plan new features 🀣 #keeptheaioverlordshappy #buildinpublic

Happy new year! We’re officially back in the office! I hope you all had lovely festivities? We had an amazing Christmas but then got taken down by flu for new years, can’t have it all though right?! Who’s ready for routine again or still wanting cheese and biscuits? #smallbusiness #webagency

We've added scheduled tasks to Chat Thing so you can get your AI bots to run tasks on a schedule and its so useful! We are automating loads with this. For example we have a task that checks all open support tickets in Notion and then posts a summary into Slack as 7am each day. #ai #buildinpublic

Found something that's really hard to prompt out of models today! Getting LLMs to output Slack's single asterisk *bold* text instead of standard markdown **bold** was harder than expected! In the end we've opted to post process the response to convert double ** to singles 🀣

Wow we've closed 320 PRs on Chat Thing this year! I knew we shipped a lot but that was still more than I was expecting! #buildinpublic

This week, I've been revisiting something we should have looked at ages ago: our Chat Thing stats dashboard. We've got loads of info, but we've not been using it effectively. Bit silly, right? #buildinpublic #saas #indiehacker #chatthing #ai #aidevelopment

We've been meaning to enhance our web data source for a while. Now, seeing these stats makes it a top priority. We get loads of daily signups, but our conversion rate could be better. We're hoping that by improving the web data source, we'll create a smoother user experience and boost conversions.

Looking at the chart of data sources, it's clear where we should focus our efforts. Most users are using File and Web data sources - either giving their bot data via their website or uploading files.

When you have a complex, multi-faceted tool like Chat Thing, it's easy to feel overwhelmed about where to make improvements. But these stats give us focus and a priority list.

Why doesn't Stripe have a simple endpoint for pulling common SaaS stats such as MRR and churn ect? Am I blind or is there not a default way to do this? I want to make a little reports bot that summarises our stats at the end of the month and posts them to Slack. #buildinpublic

Its only taken all day but its done now! Phew. Now just need to record the video version.

Does any one else put in loads of effort to grind out the last 10% of a feature, think you're done and celebrate... then you remember you need to write docs which is gunna take almost as long as writing the code! Thats me today 🀣 SaaS is a lot of work for small teams! #buildinpublic

Having an AI assistant right in Slack is so useful! One of our devs noticed an email got put in spam and dumped the gobbledygook email headers into Slack to so we could debug it. Its all alien to me, but I asked our GPT-4 bot to take a look and it deciphered it for me! #buildinpublic

Let's make Bluesky a better place for indie founders. It's a fair criticism that Starter Packs were a great marketing strategy. That once the novelty wears off, Bluesky might go downhill just like Threads. And to prevent that, we need to put effort to nurture the community ↓

Everything about @nuxt.com DX is is super thoughtful!

@nuxt.com takes a thoughtful approach to introducing new features over time. Tinkering with Nuxt 4 requires only a couple of lines of configuration. And you can already deploy Nuxt 4 sites on Netlify. www.netlify.com/blog/platfor...

This little project was made in 2016 and was the first time I felt like I had made it as a dev! It got featured on the Chrome experiments site which at the time was a huge goal of mine! You can still play with it here jozefm.dev/petridish/ although it runs a lot quicker now than then! #javascript

It uses randomly generated groups of flocking algorithms and colours to generate the animation. Press space to trigger a new random generation!

Has any one figured out how to get their bsky follower count on a LaMetric clock yet? Or do I need to make an app? #buildinpublic #indiehackers
