A 2-month-old baby cruelly held with his mother without bail for weeks at an ICE facility in south Texas was rushed to the hospital due to poor medical care including no doctor on duty at the time. As a bookish kid, I admired the Supreme Court for having the character to unanimously come out against segregation in the 1950s, when no other branch of our government would have had that courage. So it saddens me to see it lose its way and endorse judging people for the color of their skin today.
