It's always so funny to see fighting game guys crash off of MOBAs because all of a sudden your agency over the match is cut into a 10th and spread out over an hour long chain of interactions you cannot meaningfully control all at once.

And then the fighting game brain kicks in and they think there MUST have been something they did wrong and the answer is no, you just made a few ambiguous calls on incomplete information 10 minutes ago and it snowballed bigger than one player on your team could handle at that moment

I joke but you have no idea how many problems I solved by just going up to a skilled artist, modeler, programmer etc. and going "how i do dis" and they were happy to take a few minutes to share exactly how they did something. Sometimes I had people give me a whole ass asset. People love to share.

Just did my first netplay tests for Motorkill. It actually held up INCREDIBLY well. I'm going to rework how the physics are run, moving from complete tele-operation to a system where all clients process physics locally and the server sends an authoritative version to reconcile with.
