Peace and quiet is like cheese and chocolate. Fantastic in moderation but can get too much. #loneliness

Infantino is a low life, a totally corrupt reprobate. Both he and FIFA are unashamedly corrupt. If they get away with this, international football as we know it is finished. It's time for a breakaway. Repost if you agree.

#worldcup2026 I miss the massed Royal Marines military band.

There's a difference between a Father and a Dad. A father is the easiest bit (and sometimes an enjoyable bit). A Dad, that's where the hard work is. Dads wipe the arses. Dads put the plasters on. Dads help with the homework. Dads sit outside at midnight waiting to take you home. Men, be a Dad.

@2000ad.bsky.social You've access to incredible writers. You've kept a key character fresh and relevant for almost 50 years. You've been ahead of the curve since your creation. You have the backing of one of the biggest independent multimedia studios. Why not Doctor Who? #2000ad #doctorwho

@jamesblunt.com just caught you on the piano room singing Bridge over troubled water. Sublime. Absolutely fantastic. You come in for a lot of stick but you're a national treasure. It reduced me to tears. Thank you.

A lot of people mock #hootenanny. As someone who's spent several New Years on their own, it's the closest I've ever got to a party. I think it's great.

Just watching It and Welcome to Derry. Bill Skarsgard and Tim Curry are exceptional. But I still feel #rikmayall is the greatest #pennywise we never had. #welcometoderry

We don't talk enough about how great a movie #doctorsleep is. Aside from the great acting, the director's attention to detail is phenomenal. An absolute worthy successor to #theshining @mikeflanaganfilm.com.

So at 56 years of age I've just got the joke of Jacob and Robert Marley in #muppetchristmascarol. Robert Marley. Bob Marley!

@bobmort.bsky.social I mean, he's always having a pop at you but, the fish are just laughing behind his back.

It's my birthday.

"A man stands alone at the plate. This is the time for what? For individual achievement. There he stands alone. But in the field, what? Part of a team. Teamwork… Looks, throws, catches, hustles. Part of one big team. ... But… I get nowhere unless the team wins"

#bioshock is the game equivalent to #thegodfather every time I play it there's another level I've never noticed.

@herring1967.bsky.social I feel slightly empty and a little bit dirty.

@robwilliams71.bsky.social @henryflint.bsky.social I've been reading @2000ad.bsky.social since almost the start. There have been some fantastic stories but the current Dredd "And to the sea return" is outstanding! An absolute classic and one I'll enjoy reading again and again. Thank you.

#celebritytraitors is BBC's #taskmaster and it's brilliant!

Does everyone realise that we are now a heartbeat away from a Tottenham supporter running the country. @hal.thelastboyscout.uk #coys.

#thethursdaymurderclub on netflix is brilliant. But one error. Ron would never have had a "London Stadium" street sign on his wall. It would have been "Boleyn Ground" or "Upton Park". Those who know, know.

Third watch of Heretic. The film is sublime. All the actors are outstanding. But Hugh Grant, absolutely phenomenal! One of the greatest villains ever portrayed in cinema. This film does not get the accolades it deserves.

Seriously #bonetomahawk is one of the most underrated horror films ever. It's up there with #thewickerman. An absolute cult of a movie.

@2000ad.bsky.social Is it me or does "Old Joe" bear a striking resemblance to Armitage? Obviously both Joes are clones; is there something you've not told us?

The most depressing thing about growing old is that you never knew what you had. But then, maybe that's just me.

Repost with one of the greatest villains in cinema history...

Repost with one of the greatest villains in cinema history #filmsky 📽

So I've decided, with everything going on in the world, it would be better to put myself in charge of everything. Or #SandiToksvig. Either way works for me.

Say it quietly, but I think there's a James Bond villain acting as assistant VAR referee at tonight's Tottenham game.

David Lynch was a great director and leaves a massive legacy. He'll be much missed. I also think he is the greatest Joker we never had.

Why wasn't @bobmort.bsky.social cast as Bilbo in #theHobbit? He'd have been brilliant.

#starwars so I've watched #Andor for the second time. There's space for #skelentoncrew and #andor. The #starwar universe can cope with kids and adults, it's that big. FWIW, I'd love to see a horror set in this universe, the sith could make a great horror film.

Just finished Haunted Tales bit.ly/3UfwMPC By Adam Macqueen. Outstanding!! Absolutely superb!! So many subtle references to other ghost stories, an absolute delight. And the last one, oof!!! There's something in my eye.

So #theexcorcist is a Christmas movie, because anything you choose to watch at Christmas time makes it a Christmas movie. Good luck to you and fair play. Anything can be your Christmas movie.

#28dayslater is a Christmas movie. It's got Christmas lights.

Very much looking forward to #28yearslater. I'm curious how the infected kept going for a further 28 years. My understanding is that, unlike zombies, they eventually starve to death. Them being as they are, how have they survived for so long? Can't wait to find out!

#Wolfhall. I wish they'd do something original. It's just a remake of the Sopranos. This Henry bloke is Tony and Cromwell is Silvio Dante. Can't quite work out Paulie though.

So here's the thing. #doctorwho is way ahead of itself. I'm on the third and sometimes fourth watch of a series. And only now am I seeing how brilliantly written it is! The acting and writing, simply sublime.

So here we go. #Mattsmith is one of our greatest actors. This is the same man who is in: Moses Jones Doctor Who The Crown House of Dragon Last night in Soho (a personal favourite!) And Starve Acre Seriously, he's amazing!

Nnnnghh!!!!!!

Nnnnghh!!!!!!

Yes, I'm religious I believe in the holy trinity

John M. Burns

I mean he's great and all that. But it's the look of complete pity that kills me. "So you're going to pick up my shit and carry it in a little bag. Have you no dignity?"

I'm on my third watch of Haunting of Hill House. It's a masterpiece. The first watch was all about the jump scares. The second, about the story. Now I'm watching a tragedy It's breaking my heart. #michealflanagan it's a masterpiece! Thank you.

So, here we go. I've never posted anything as I don't think anyone would be bothered with what I thought about anything. But after a few glasses of Burgundy, I'm in!
