@gruber.foo I checked and have the option disabled for App Store Reviews. So when an app bugs me to write a review, I do. one star, unapologetic. They aren't going to use the APIs, they're going to bug me, I'm going to bug them.

YouTube Premium Lite just added $1 to their monthly charge, plus now I get the useless features of downloads and background play. I just don't want ads!

Should I unsubscribe from political text spam that I receive? Or should I sign the sending phone number up for opportunities for time shares, car insurance info, or the opposite party?

I've canceled my Paramount+ annual subscription. "You caved to the Trump administration so you could get a merger that no one wants except you. If you stood behind your journalism, you'd fight for the Truth. I don't want support you by giving you money that you will turn around and give to Trump."

I know I will not be able to watch ‘The West Wing’ again for a long time. So I watched ‘The American President’ which is only 30 years old, yet feels so quaint and innocent it could have been 100 years old.

I’m pretty sure that a Jehovah Witness calling my cell phone and leaving a voice mail message over 1:20 is at the very minimum rude. At least I have another number to give out to Republicans when they need a phone number.

I learned that "Australia is among the few countries where voting is compulsory, a system that leans toward creating centrist governments." Mandatory? How would that even work? What's the penalty if you don't vote? The penalty in the USA is you get a felon as president. www.npr.org/2025/05/02/g...

I’m really annoyed that I had to talk to an AI agent to get my EV’s service scheduled at my local Hyundai dealer. And then the AI couldn’t do it, so I have to wait for a call back.

Despite repeated invitations, Congressman Griffith has consistently declined to meet with his constituents. In his absence, this event will serve as a platform for local leaders to discuss key community concerns. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share their stories.

What the (heck) Apple? Now you’re making Apple Arcade show ads for other Apple Arcade games? This is unacceptable. I’m spending easily an hour a day playing five games I’ve found that I enjoy. Do you want me to stop doing that?

Why did the Apple Store app just give me a pop-up notification that I could spend extra money with them? I don’t believe that has ever happened before. Now to turn notifications off until I place an order with Apple.

Imagine DOGE opens your mail and finds your household electric bill. To eliminate this cost, they burn your house down without warning. Then they total up the bills that, as a homeless person, you will never again pay. On its website, DOGE boasts about the money it has saved you.

Somehow seems appropriate that my local library got two of my reservations in today. “Mr Smith Goes to Washington” and Timothy Snyder’s “On Tyranny”

Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns. 100% of his salary is paid by WA state. Elon fired him. Share his story.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

I just called Rep Morgan Griffith’s DC office about Trump’s plans for the Post Office. I got through on the first call, the gentlemen took my info and said he’d pass my concerns on to the representative. It did not feel like he was concerned about what I was saying.

Why in the world would a company make a pretty good Super Bowl ad, spend $16m to air it, post it to YouTube, and allow there to be ads in front of their ad? Stella Artois, I’m looking at you
