But the reveal that Bluesky got some AI roots should be a thing we actually talk about, and I'm fearful we simply won't because it's going to instead devolve into more puritanical politicking OR a bunch of threads about how 'I knew all along that is why My Option is better' and not yknow solutions

When I tried to make an actual convo about how everything isn't GenAI, actually, I was berated, harassed, and ridiculed, and was even told I was insulting people's intelligence for assuming they didn't 'know the difference' Bet, so then where are you going now after Bluesky since EYEM the dunce 😂

if we want to be fully honest and critical about the whole X v. Bluesky thing, I don't think we need to explain why X is a shithole yet people are still there. Bluesky however seems content with Where It Is, sitting on an edge of 'not quite hell, but really feels like it' and its disappointing.

Accounts getting nuked for needing life saving aid, racists swarming all over parading as leftists, which are different than the self-antagonizing leftists who argue amongst themselves about who is The Wokiest, and a bunch of techies, devs, and creatives that just want a home that isn't tiring.

All it took for people to bounce off new sites was One Personality(tm) saying 'hey I think this thing is bad' and it caught, everyone had a reason to stay on Twitter instantly. Bluesky was an actual outlier, and had the juice to actually be a better place all around.....

Super pleased that a repeat vet runner of GDQ events ousted someone who Did A Goofy and even more pleased at the vets in speed running cheering on the public ridicule of someone they don't know. But hey we've accepted power point presentations and concept runs, maybe it's a future W! Who knows! /s
