This ramble account is half me talking about decisions and half me telling everyone how much I like Chris Rainbow.... Oops LOL

Next year marks 10 years in my digital drawing archive :0 (Technically it's more than that... But I lost all my digital art from when I briefly had a tiny drawing tablet for PC haha) That's insane!

I've technically been drawing since 2014 but it was doodle-y abstract stuff which I don't really count bc it's not even close to what I draw now haha

Absolutely losing it. I have really bad eczema on my hands, so I have to use moisturising hand soaps and stuff and I just realised that the one I just bought just has the word MOISTURE on it Like oh yeah, just gotta wash my hands with my MOISTURE SOAP

This time last year (almost) I quit my management job and went freelance... Wow

Fortunately the location is way closer, and bc I only manage Sundays, it's not as insane levels of pressure as it used to be. Which is nice! The main thing is it means I don't need to take on as many comms as I usually do, which is a relief!

Doubly sucks bc I like to give albums as intro experiences to artists. Do Nothing has been my favourite modern act for a good number of years and I have never been able to recommend them adaquetly bc I can't suggest Snake Sideways bc I don't think it shows them off well at all LMAO

Like I could suggest Glueland but that's like four songs and that's not smth you can really sink your teeth into... So I'm excited to finally have an album to be like LOOK!!!! AREN'T THEY GREAT!!!! (Side note, Friend World sounds like a followup to Glueland sound wise. That makes me so happy...)

All three singles have been legitimately some of their best work. Like Snake Sideways was good, but I always found it a bit lacklustre (especially next to their EP work). Nothing sucks, don't get me wrong, I like every song, but I have zero desire to ever listen to that album as a thing

I'm waiting to actually make his studio and that in card before I post them on main but I can't resist posting them somewhere LOOK WHAT MY FRIEND MADE I HAVE NOT RECOVERED GRAAAAAAAH I have the coolest friends in the world, man,,,

I really wanna read Infinite Jest, man... But oh my god that book is a fucking brick, man, I don't know if I can commit that much time into something that dense

Anything over 600 pages feels like too much. I read about 100 a day. If a book takes longer than a week to finish, that's horrifying to me LMAO. I'm having the same issue with 2666 which I also REALLY wanna try but... It's 900... That's 9 days. I could have read three books by then!

AI as a general thing is depressing and bad but what really saddens me is when I see that fucking AI sticker making thing for kids. Being a kid is the one fucking time where society lets people have a fucking imagination. To be creative and not worry about the results.

But NOOOO, let's take away the creative part, kids can just tell a goddamn box its ideas. Encouraging a move in society where we're hanging AI generated slop on our fridge instead of a kid's actual fucking work.

I feel sad for kids, honestly. No kid spaces online, just ones who profit over shoving content down their throats, no having fun because AI can do that for you. Just absolute misery >:[
