The Pod’s the Thing

Hello new followers! I can only assume I've ended up on a good list somewhere. I'm a sound designer, musician and general noise goblin based in Glasgow. Some shows I've worked on include @camlannpod.bsky.social, @podsthething.bsky.social & @whatthetrans.com

Hello! We have been terrible at posting here but we have several more episodes out now, including Episode 6: Othello Act 1 Scene 3 (Iago & Roderigo) with Chris Tester! In this one we dive deeper into the craft of acting and building a character like Iago. Enjoy!

Veils have been donned and speeches have been conned. Swabbers, giants, and comedians have all come to play. Things are about to get Topsy Turvy! This week, Emma, Beth, Felix, and Calder take a closer look at Viola, Olivia, and a rather precarious state of mistaken identity in Twelfth Night.

My heart is absolutely warmed by this review of @podsthething.bsky.social! Thank you Constable 🫡

Here are some highlights of what you’re in for in Episode 1 of @podsthething.bsky.social, including part of a heated debate (or de-bait, if you will), the challenges of doing Shakespeare on microphone, and that eternal question: what am I saying? podsthething.com

Episode 1 of @podsthething.bsky.social comes out tomorrow, but if you just can’t wait you can listen now on our Patreon! Plus, you’ll get to see all sorts of videos of us looking sometimes very smart and sometimes very foolish. Patreon.com/PodstheThing

This is what happens when you leave me in charge of marketing for @podsthething.bsky.social… 🐱 Surprise! We have a bonus Prologue Episode out today where you can meet some of our core team members! Available wherever you get your podcasts. Follow/subscribe before Episode 1 next week!

There’s a bunch of free videos up there right now, and starting this week Patrons will be getting a sneak peek of our trailer, launch date, and more! I’m doing the bulk of the legwork right now, and any contributions will go toward paying editors, transcribers, social media managers, and more. 🙏

Lend me your ears! I have been terrible about promoting @podsthething.bsky.social- a Shakespeare Podcast made by actors- on here, but it is coming soon! Next month in fact! And I just launched a Patreon where you can get a sneak peek of what the show will be! Patreon.com/PodstheThing

From today’s recording session for @podsthething.bsky.social: “He’s basically just like Mr. Darcy!” (The “he” in question is Richard III…) Can’t wait for you all to hear this one!

I was delighted to be asked to compose some music for this exciting new podcast! I've listened to a load of Shakespeare podcasts coming from an academic/writer approach and I'm intrigued to hear these texts through the lens of acting

In honor of Shakespeare’s birthday, I am very excited to announce a new podcast coming soon: The Pod’s the Thing! Produced by me and featuring many amazing (soon to be announced) co-conspirators. It’s a Shakespeare podcast by actors, for actors, and everyone else. @podsthething.bsky.social
