Mr. Sunbeam came to visit my boys again. 😎 Dewey(14) wants everyone to know the only thing better than a sunbeam nap is one where you can also use your little brother Rocky(9) as a pillow. Have a good weekend Bluesky friends. #dogsofbluesky #dachshund #seniordog #seniorpupsaturday

This is a great and funny ad and leaning into privacy and anti-AI is terrific. I don't need to go back since I never left but hopefully this ad boosts usage.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I would love a boring timeline.

7 days. Let's make it happen. 🌊 Once Dems have some power back, they'd better use it. No reaching across the aisle. No "let's look forward". No pretending there is a Republican party. Bring the hammer down and use every lever of power to start fixing the damage and punishing the guilty.

Thank you friends for all the kind words about Dewey here and on @superdoxies.bsky.social. We appreciate it. 🙏 Several people have asked how Rocky is doing. He's doing fairly well except sitting in front of the fireplace because that's where he and Dewey would snuggle. He misses his big brother. 💔

It’s with a heavy heart and many tears that I need to tell you that Dewey crossed Rainbow Bridge on Friday. What we hoped was a pinched nerve or arthritis in his shoulder turned out to be a very aggressive bone cancer. His pain was too great, and we could ask no more of him, so we helped him cross.

Did I get my ballot in the mail? Yes. Did I vote? Yes. Did I mail it back? Hell no. Did I use a drop box? Yes. Has it been accepted? Yes. I love voting by mail in Washington. So easy to do at home, return it and then you can log in to the voter portal and see the status at any time.

Tom Skerritt had so many great roles. This clip from Steel Magnolias cracks me up every time I see it. RIP.

There are too many people that claim they have no interest in politics & don't follow anything. They have no idea how all of this impacts their lives from a local level up to federal. Just walking through life with complete ignorance. Yeah, it's messy but get in the game or it never gets better. 🤷‍♂️

Walking down the beverage aisle at the grocery store in awe of how many flavors of Mountain Dew exist.

What the hell is wrong with my fellow Gen-xers? 🤦‍♂️

Time has lost all meaning for me over the last 10 years. Between the political hellscape, Covid and now AI, everything feels like it just happened and also happened years ago. Weird.

On the Apple show Dark Matter, the main characters are in a parallel universe without much tech. No internet, smartphones or social media. The computer is just now being introduced to society. It honestly looks appealing to me. Kind of like being back in the 70s/80s.

Every IT worker patching php today.

Maybe the real treasure was the php we patched along the way?

Crazy dry in the #PNW this fall. 🤷‍♂️

These celebrities and athletes plugging gambling sites should be ashamed of themselves. Really? You need the money that badly? Really?

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” — Isaac Asimov

#StrollerCam Dewey is still bummed he can't walk along but he likes the view from his stroller. Rocky just walks along like he's late for a meeting. #dachshund #strollerLife #doxie #seniorDog #dogsofbluesky

This is adorable.

"Remember this device" is a cruel joke.

Slow Horses is perfect. That's the skeet.

Haven't watched 1 minute of cable news since Nov 2024. May have to watch in two weeks though. Or maybe all the results will come in fast and furious here on Bluesky.

We're a few episodes into the Carrie reboot series. Damn good so far.

LinkedIn is a weird place.

I've posted this quote before but I love it so here it is again. “Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.” ― Karen Davison #dogsofbluesky #dogquotes 🐶

A great October surprise would be if it happened.

Cool Health insurance for 2 of us going from $1900/month to $2200/month. Deductible jumping from $6k to $7k. So that's $33000 out of pocket (premiums and deductible) before any actual benefits are realized. This "healthcare" system is absolute 💩 #MedicareForAll #SinglePayerNow

I see these clips of MAGA voters voting for Dems this time but only because something hit them personally — their business income, healthcare, gas prices etc... So that's good they're switching their vote but as the saying goes: "It shouldn't have to happen to you for it to matter to you."

All dogs are good dogs. 🐶

15 days to go. Have you voted early? 🌊

A couple more weeks. I'm cautiously optimistic. 🤞

Seems like every streaming service is sending me an email with a $2.00 increase. I guess the paperboy from Better Off Dead grew up to set streaming prices.

It's Friday my friends. 🎉 I hope you have something fun planned this weekend. I haven't dropped a skircle in a minute so let's do that for something different today. Are you in there?

Just when you think this timeline can't get any dumber.

Truth.

"The only minority destroying America is the billionaires." Great line and absolute fact by @jamestalarico.bsky.social. I'm really hoping he is the next senator for Texas. 🤞

Beautiful afternoon here in the #pnw so we had a nice afternoon walk and roll. Dewey has been bummed with his bed rest and need for a stroller so we got him a vanity plate and he thinks it's pretty cool. All the best Bluesky friends. #dachshund #dogsofbluesky #seniordogs #strollerlife #wienerdog

The Empire Strikes Back for Tax Purposes

I think most Republicans in congress will breathe a sigh of relief if/when they lose the House and Senate. They're all spineless turds who just want to go on tv & bitch about Dems. That's their happy place. No responsibility. All bitching. Will Dems wield their new power with full force? 🤷‍♂️
