Traveling from Then to Now, I'm looking for ways to explain how a simple world, appearing complex, is still simple. Trust Yourself. Not the famous, rich, glamorous, lionized or glorified.

When you find that someone is a member "in good standing" with the Gambino family, do you assume that person is a "good guy?" Or "trying to go straight?" So when someone is running as a Republican - are you assuming he's "trying to be a good guy?" Or a "good Christian?" How is that going?

The difference between the Democratic and Republican Parties? Democrats learned to change and embrace morality. Republicans told themselves that Immorality, was "God."

For people who know this story and don't understand how either Tamaswamy can run this material or Trump can say that a 12 year old girl, and a grand jury are lying, it is not surprising of you know the Republican Party and that island of politics. For the Republican thehill.com/homenews/cam...

violence, bombing children in other countries, kidnapping and stealing votes. I have not been deterred by a Democrat I disagree with, or is too "progressive" or too "centrist" because I have understood for decades, there IS no choice - between the Republican Party or everyone else. There ARE no

choices when a Republican is on the ticket - it is the OTHER one. The Democrat, the Independent, the Democratic Socialist, the "centrist" the "moderate," or the family dog. It is simply Not the Criminal, the Liar, the Thief, the Rapist, the Murderer - all of whom call the Republican Party their home

Party for a century, "winning" is the ONLY thing, not the "most important," but the ONLY. Not racism, misogyny, pedophilia, corruption, lying, cheating, God, Christianity or who anyone is: simply advancing a "business and industry" at all costs. I have not been deterred by illegal wars, gun

There are two things this shows us: Hypocrisy, and Republican voting. The Bible is missing a chapter: A lesson of choice: Don't vote Republican.

The Republican Party is our nation's cancer. Something hidden, but eating away at us. Looking good outwardly, but insidious and destroying us inside. Get treatment. Face facts. Be proactive. Vote. Always. Stay vigilant. It CAN return.

Most people understand "cancer." For long extended periods of time, it grows inside you and you hope you catch it early. You look fine, but slowly don't feel well inside, and many, for the longest time, resist finding out. But not knowing, doesn't mean it goes away, or doesn't exist.

There are states that have a history of electing Republicans. The Democrats have either not fielded anyone of substance, or haven't given them a platform to be heard. But not now, not this year. There are CHOICES. THIS is what God gave people living in "God's" country. A choice. Don't

How does someone become a billionaire? I have identified the necessary qualities of most billionaires: a good idea, connections either through family, friends or school, a convenient circumstance (luck), personality, and selling to another sucker at the right time (see:connections). No one has

become a billionaire by digging trenches to lay pipes for a new development. So can someone tell me what the "risk" is, that they can't pay more taxes? Or that they need government's "help."

their customers, lie (the favorite technique of a business to not go into the owner's diminished returns). The standard decision of a corporate owner is to cut a department, or an office, or a division - rather than finding ways to increase revenue. If it "inconveniences" employees or customers,

"too bad." So EVERY Republican seems to "cut services" (Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, healthcare, food, education) because "we can't afford it." EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN. EVERYWHERE. Even kids think of bake sales and selling lemonade. Not Republicans. But they can spend on war.

their lies to include reasons to not control gun violence, threats of crime and "weapons of mass destruction," lies about women, gays, minorities, immigrants, economy, privacy, socialism, Democrats, capitalism, and the lies are endless. What Republican has ANY plan to increase revenue to pay

down ANY debt? It has always been to cut anything that can build a future economy (education), while cutting taxes. NEVER increasing revenues in areas where revenues can be increased. Every diner has had to increase prices, but not Republicans. They will cut employees, cut services or products to

Grown-ups who talk about grown-up problems with grown-up voters who have grown-up cares. Republicans - sit down while grown-ups are talking.

Democratic candidates have learned to take the time to explain themselves to voters about things their voters care about. From Jon Ossoff to Angie Nixon to Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed, they are not name-calling and code-word throwing. They are speaking. It is what voters want and need.

I don't dislike the Democratic Party, but I spend much more time and energy considering both parties and the people in them. However, I understand the reluctance of you get people, and ex-Republicans to lean into this party. It is simple: Leaders in the www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...

party, tend to be more aware of nuance and the complexity of issues. Can they distill issues so that other people can understand? Is it the age of the leaders? No. Because Bernie Sanders can do it. But they have to, and it takes greater training and education of both voters and campaigners in

areas which haven't seen Democrats run, in decades. Republicans have never served their constituencies, but exist and get paid. Democrats have all the answers, but don't exist. Who would be "favorable?"

When Trump was in New York. He lied. No surprise. He lied about being a Democrat. He lied about everything else. It's has been surprising to New Yorkers that he can walk - because he lies so much. New Yorkers who voted for Trump - voted Republican. They knew he lied. But they are Republicans.

In 1953, a movie was release which was about a private life, overtaken by public events of Pearl Harbor. "From Here to Eternity," is a microcosm of all of our lives, private, but drawn into the conflagration of our times. Serving our greater selves will stay with us "from here, to eternity."

Have you ever tried hammering in a nail when you haven't hammered in a nail? First you choke up on the hammer, you hit the nail carefully, cautiously, carefully. As you begin to hammer in first one nail, than another, you discover the joy of hitting nails. That is how you vote against Republicans.

Candy is not "food." Candy is not essential to our existence, our health, welfare, or fundamental living. Candy is "nice," every once in awhile. With moderation and restraint. Like Republicans. Don't vote Republican. Mind your diet. Don't eat candy. Until after you finish your REAL food.

When Republicans try to confront anyone - challenging their work, their beliefs, their religion, their understanding of the Constitution - the JOB they do, this is the difference between people who have knowledge, and those who are ignorant. Simple. The looks. The results. The aftermath.

Let me say: If you see your boss is making bad decisions and leaving you to take care of the mess. Or that you are being blamed. Or that you are not given a chance, the RESPONSIBILITY or OPPORTUNITY to do better. If you have ever seen this, I have to ask "Why would you vote for a Republican?"

I have seen "bad" people, correct course, and look for a different path - sometimes because of their own unhappiness over their own direction - or sometimes because of the impact it has on others around them. I have also seen "good" people, uncorrect their course, and go down pretty bad paths, to

discover that people you know, love, grow up with, have fallen into traps of blindness, and want YOU to go into those same traps - to make them feel better. The isolation of alcoholism, gambling, drugs, and politics, drive us onto islands from which we cannot recover without our own effort. It

is easy for me to say: I have been a "loner" my entire life. But I am not alone. There are many people who ARE "loners" simply because they have seen the behaviors of others, which they don't want to be a part of. This is an observation of our "political partisanship." Just another pattern.

"fit in," or "get along." In diverse communities, or in isolation, we are exposed to different perspectives, or reflect much more deeply, on our own perspective. But somewhere in between, boys get into "gangs" and adapt the "culture" of the gang. Whether it is on the streets or in a fraternity.

But people also fall into these "gangs" at church, or at work, or places they hang out and play - softball games, bars, watch parties. Parents have worried about "the kids" their kids "hang out with" for generations. But are THEY the ones who their kids should be aware of? It is painful to

In total, this year with more than two weeks to go, Elon Musk has spent $366 million to prop up Republican races. I propose and escalating tax on political spending over $500K. But IF he were taxed 2000% he would be taxed - $7.3B If it were 10,000% he would only www.cnbc.com/2026/10/12/e...

pay $36.6B. If we taxed donations to PACs at that rate, we wouldn't have to tax their income (which they hate the idea of) we could run campaigns every year, and we could pay down the debt more rapidly. Eventually it would discourage them from funding Republican elections.

Since the early 1900s, the Republican Party has ushered in calamity after calamity, and had to be bailed out by Democrats. Ronald Reagan, got a brand new credit card, cutting taxes from 70% on the highest earners to 28%. That act unfunded education, and other infrastructure efforts for 45 years.

American policy, in supporting THIS Israeli government is essentially support for a fascist regime using Israeli settlers the way Trump uses ICE. Israel’s far-right openly boasts of resettling Gaza as election looms | CNN share.google/hp7VSVIxUkSp...

Many people have family and friends who are Republican or have voted for Republicans while declaring themselves "Independent." Why would 50% of Americans support Hitler for a decade? For endless wars for almost THREE decades? For ruining the economy repeatedly for 6 decades? Ronald Reagan

got a national credit card. Freely running up debt and waiting for "daddy" Democrats to pay it off for him. Clinton did. George W. did it again, and "daddy" Barack bailed him out. Trump did it once and "daddy" Joe bailed him out once and those Republicans put Trump in again. Who's your daddy now?

I am for taxation. Taxing executive salaries, because they are executive salaries, not a percentage of income. Tax behavior that is destructive to society, from political action committee donations to mergers and acquisitions. Tax corporate "efficiency" that does benefit society. Tax credits and

breaks not based on promises "to hire more people," or inject money into an economy, but on results. Tax breaks at the BACK END of agreements, not incentives to come in. 20 years, 50 years, Tax incentives at the back end, like airline points and loyalty programs.

on "managing inflation" because it hides wage stagnation. "Inflation" is the core economic focus of a Republican administration, while wages and jobs are the core focus of Democrats. Why? Low wages, like no wages, is slavery. It helps corporations with large labor forces - big corporations.

Low inflation disguises economic problems, because as long as you can buy a sandwich, you don't think about the house that you can't buy.
