The Ohio River *caught fire* when I was a kid. The Clean Water Act made sure that would never happen again. My 2008 Honda pickup got 16-18 mpg and would cost $100+ to fill. My EV gets 100+mpge and costs about $5-6 to fully recharge- and has better pickup, handling, and comfort.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Chargers running their 2-minute offense at the end of the half, and on 2nd and 11, the so-called offensive genius Mike McDaniels calls… a run up the middle. Which gains one yard. Such. A. Genius.

Centrists/moderates have no greater claim on the support of progressives/leftists than the left does on the support of centrists. And vice versa. If your faction loses in the primary, and you don’t support the other in November, then STFU about whose fault it is when MAGA wins.

Its funny how everyone's idea of heaven is a complete untouched paradise, crystal clear waters, lush green forests, enough food for everyone, classless, moneyless, stateless, a Utopia of peace, unity and happiness. But here on earth it's considered a leftist ideology.

#Booksky friends, yesterday I came up with a new way to frustrate, if not stop, the scammer-spammers. In response to the bogus offers to present to "book groups," I replied: "Great! I charge $500 per hour for such events. Please respond with your 16-digit credit card number to enable billing."

The Pentagon claims the Iran war cost $29 billion in its first 60 days - $15B/month. For LESS money, we could: - make tuition free at all public universities, colleges, & votechs - house all homeless people in the US - end hunger in the US PLUS Have $1B+ left. Every month. Priorities.

This Needs to Happen…. Idea: a law that says if you’re going to build a data center, you have to also build enough solar panels to power it. We can call it the Bring Your Own Damn Grid Act.

After SCrOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Act in the Louisiana case, now red states are reportedly mulling more gerrymandering than ever with impunity. This is so wrong - and gutless. Voters should choose their leaders, not the other way around.

Best news I’ve read in months, maybe years. Trump’s idol and best buddy - other than Putin - that he actively endorsed and supported in Hungary is getting HUMILIATED in today’s elections. The authoritarians are losing everywhere. www.theguardian.com/world/live/2...

The whole “bomb them back to the Stone Age” episode turns out to be yet another excuse and opportunity for insider profiteering. Oil prices dropped, stocks market surged 1000 points… follow the money. Who gained from all this?

Texas, 2/3 2. Since then, the Democrats quickly united behind one Senate candidate, with Crockett immediately endorsing Talarico. Republicans face a bitter runoff ahead with recriminations and infighting already underway.

Texas, 3/3 3. Talarico won because of his superior ground game, focused on listening to voters and harping on pocketbook and affordability issues. Crockett’s campaign was largely a mass media effort with primarily an anti-Trump focus.
