Last night was the 3rd time this season the Wings scored a game-tying goal in the final 2 minutes of regulation. That's already tied for the 2nd most in a single season for the team going back to 2007-2008. 2008-2009: 4 times 2013-2014: 4 2026-2027: 3 (in 12 GP) 2009-2010: 3 2010-2011: 3

One wonderful thing you can do with your money is give some of it to me every month, by subscribing to my frankly excellent website, hockeyviz.com/subscribe. This is wonderful in two ways, because I get your money and you get beautiful understanding of hockey. This thread has some details!

To be clear, I blame the team staffer more than anyone for feeling the need to leak this but I strongly disagree with seeking out this info as a reporter or publishing it as an editor

Seider went straight to the room after overtime finished. Blocked a couple shots. Something to keep an eye on. #LGRW

Wings have got to get this Larkin situation resolved. Playing an away game and having the crowd chant “We Want Larkin” multiple times throughout the game is destructive to the culture of a young team with young leadership

Daniil Tarasov was extremely good tonight. Great puck-tracking, great crease position, great in recovery I think Nate Danielson is not far away from being sent down to GR. Looks like a shell of himself out there

- If a team offer sheets Ed (let’s say for 1 year), I believe the Wings would be unable to trade Ed for 365 days from the date of matching the offer sheet so they would have to go through negotiating a new contract next summer while being unable to trade him

in my lifetime, I can't recall something like this aside from the Dany Heatley situation. Absolutely surreal

That is not a mixed reaction from the LCA crowd - Dylan Larkin is getting booed loudly every time he touches the puck.

Wings score on the PP, ending the streak at 96:52, the 2nd longest in franchise history with the longest occurring 100 years ago

Longest scoring droughts to start a Red Wings' season: 1926-27: 119:54 1958-59: 88:55 2020-21: 82:44 2012-13: 81:10 2026-27: 80:00* 1928-29: 72:15 *ongoing

Honestly at this point, the Wings should just play 2 forwards and 3 defensemen at 5v5 and try to win every game 2-1 because they're not gonna generate anything of substance at 5v5

This is a speed-run on how to destroy a fanbase in 100 days

Dylan Larkin wants a trade. Simon Edvinsson would prefer a trade instead of signing an extension. They have no full-time general manager. That is a rough situation.

Edvinsson waited this entire offseason for the Wings to name a GM, reportedly turned down offer sheets, showed up to camp without a contract, and our last word is the Wings are holding firm on a short-term deal. What in the absolute hell is going on in the Red Wings front office
