Started a math blog (twopi.dev). The first post is about π. Do give it a read. twopi.dev/2026/what-is...

Almost every real number is normal, but we still can’t prove it for π, e, or √2. I wrote about why that isn’t a contradiction and what "normal" actually means. twopi.dev/2026/the-num...

I wonder how many inventions/discoveries are misattributed because of intelligence/military reasons.

Rust 1.89.0 will stabilize let-chains (yay 🎉). In the same release, clippy will flag `if` statements that can be collapsed further using a let-chain. Outcome: your CI will fail when 1.89.0 is released, and you can't fix it ahead of time because the feature clippy wants you to use isn't stable yet 🙃

Is there a free API for currency conversion data? I don't need real time data.

I just spent a few hours debugging why the api routes weren't working in @tanstack.com Start only to realise I was missing the `app/api.ts` file.

I was terribly sick till this week. Recovered now. Let's hope this weekend to be productive one. 🚀

Happy New Year everyone! 🎉
