i don't usually bitch about my job here, but god. today I busted my ass, I pushed through things I should not have been able to in the time I had, and it really, really rubs me the wrong way that the dude they hired to "help out" spent most of the time on his phone texting his daughter.

bloody tears is there, and so is vampire killer, and they're not my favorite renditions. but I can appreciate them for what they are. belmont's curse is an attempt to bring Castlevania back into the public eye, and like. how is that bad?

the only criticism i've seen that i'll agree with, is that the music isn't what I expected. It's still good, don't get me wrong, but it definitely doesn't fit the usual gothic orchestral sound castlevania does. it's not bad, it's good, even. just, doesn't sound like castlevania.

my phone was nearly dead by the time we were freed to go because all I could do was text my mom for pictures of my cats to make sure they were okay, and I spent a solid 15 minutes crying by myself in the coolers afterwards.

i try not to complain about my irl job on here but god. it's just gotten so overwhelming lately. and i know that sounds so fucking stupid cause it's just some dumb ass retail job, but it really does sting when I see the flyers we have out for seasonals advertising the same pay I make after six years

maybe im being dramatic but it seems like a bad idea to let someone who's actively dying and probably shit his pants while typing this dictate how AI is going to shape our future.

he's an utter failure as a president, as a leader, and as an authority figure, and that's going to be laid bare in a way he can't lie his way around soon. and honestly, that's probably going to trigger some scary shit.

traditionally, and this has happened with almost every president as far as I know, his administration was expecting to lose some control in the midterms. based on the way he's wording himself as the absolute authority, he *knows* he's going to lose in an absolute bloodbath in the midterms.

I saw that the og castlevania is free on mobile right now for the 40th anniversary and thats like, cool and all but I cannot imagine a worse way to play the original castlevania than on a phone.

okay so my birthday is a week away, and my mom asked me what I wanted, which for like, the past 15 years has just been "money" but the OOT remake and metroid: ravenous broke me, so I just said I wanna get a switch 2, so anything towards that.

i'm not one to really engage in conspiracy theories all that much, but something about this exchange unnerves me. these are two people that have been 100% in on the AI "revolution" and now all of a sudden they want to pull back? It's strange.

a thing I dont really talk about much is my favorite game of all time, and its easily without a doubt Castlevania Symphony of the night. so I was thrilled when I learned there was a native pc port being worked on, and I just played through it.

i'm absolutely thrilled that the dominus and advance collection exist on steam rn, don't get me wrong, dawn and aria of sorrow are worth the price alone. but Symphony of the night deserves the same treatment.

I'm hoping Belmont's curse gives the series enough of a boost to push forward. Its kind of why I hate the "metroidvania" label on games, because yeah, obviously metroid started the genre, but it minimizes castlevania's influence.

i've seen a lot of panic posting lately from the orange asshole's deceleration about beef farmers, and like, yes when it comes to farmed meat there's always an inherent risk, but as much as I'd love for this to be a catastrophic failure on his part, he's just saying words, he didnt do anything.

beef is still going through USDA certified plants before it ends up in stores, the likelihood that you're gonna get some debilitating prion is next to nothing. With that said, it's still important to keep an eye on everything right now.

this is so unbelievably embarrassing that i will not be satisfied until every single person involved in letting this happen is in jail and getting their toes nibbled off by rats of an unusually large size.
