There’s a reason people say “Not my President.” He’s shown himself to only be the President of those who voted for him… and unless they’re rich, he’s failing them as well.

Just… no.

Writers, submissions are now open. The Writers Guild Foundation is proud to serve as an official public submissions partner for the 2026-2027 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Eligible writers may now submit their feature screenplays through WGF. Learn more at wgfoundation.org/nicholl

Just Submitted to The Nicholl through Writers Guild Foundation. First 750 submissions are $100. It goes up another $20 for the next 1,250. I still think the lack of QF & SF advancements are a loss to the screenwriting community, but the WGF is the more democratic way to go. #scriptsky

Breaking News: President Trump signed an executive order to neuter state laws placing limits on the A.I. industry. The order is likely to be challenged in court by states and consumer groups on the grounds that only Congress has the authority to override state laws, experts said.

When I was at The Actors Studio in NYC, I spent a wonderful hour on the phone with Diane Ladd. At the close, she said she’d have to meet me when she came to NY. I let her know she’d probably like me better on the phone, as I was told I resembled her ex-husband, Bruce Dern. Diane: “Oh, pish!” RIP

BREAKING: Diane Ladd, a three-time Oscar nominee known for roles in “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and “Wild at Heart,” dies at 89, daughter Laura Dern announces.

I can’t imagine any scenario in which this is a good thing.

Both Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel have proven how the current regime suspended freedom of speech. It’s only the First Amendment… to go.

I was in the front room of The National Arts Club, on a break from a show, working on the NYT crossword, when I was surrounded by a scouting crew for Quiz Show. Robert Redford saw I was interrupted, gave me a half shrug/smile to acknowledge it, and that was all I needed. Godspeed, good sir.
