Here's 47 minutes of talking about this topic and discussing many of the comments I received. Warning: not for the faint of attention spans, but I like to think it's a good listen and I wanted to give my full stance on why I've suddenly shifted so hard in favor of X rank 🔗 youtu.be/Ow-CDG6Y9B0

If you're a comp splat player of any level who firmly believes that competitive play and soloq demand significantly different skillsets, especially if you think metrics such as x power have no bearing on competitive skill level/divisions, I am genuinely curious to hear why you think that.

ely 🔜 AREA CUP Live!@elymental.bsky.social

ill be handling the broadcast for @sendou.ink's In the Zone #41 this upcoming Saturday, October 24th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CEST 🎙 @chaedr.inkling.social @ej46spl.bsky.social @dhvf28.bsky.social @sasuinurpants.bsky.social feature i thought of on a whim: generate a casters graphic in the overlay

I think a hard truth when it comes to weapons is that people at top level can in fact pick up a niche weapon that randomly becomes good in like a week and win a big event with it if it fits them well enough. Good players will pick what wins even if it comes out of no where.

There are times weapon loyalty can be rewarded or worth it. Sometimes a weapon fits a player in a way they do best, sometimes they play a weapon specialize and it becomes stronger due to buffs which gives you a leg up. Often times it doesn't help at all Always be willing to pick what you need to win

I've had more time to play the game including scrims and Brella has been consistently fun/felt strong, but there's a good chance I'm going to need to do mostly strikes with the comps that seem best for it, on the bright side the weapon is much easier w this kit.

I'm not gonna do comp (even if I wanted to having this much time is going to be VERY temporary) but I wanna see how this weapon is for a while and prolly do a video on it. If I get a good chance for a sz tourney I may play one though but even that rly depends on things working out.

I will say i think this wep is almost as good as recycle is being hyped up to be its a bit worse but the gap is small its good rn imo

late post, but @prochara.bsky.social’s Paint of Pride this past weekend was SO fun, and something we desperately need regularly imo (ignoring the bans completely here) I know #compsplatoon would grow a lot with a monthly zones only, all maps, open level with brackets for all players, it NEEDS it

One thing that's interesting with Recycle is its one of the few weapons to actually get consistently good and impactful buffs, launch Recycle was horrible. Every single change is a good buff in an area that it needed.

Charity tourney was the most fun I've had playing tent in a year, I felt like I could genuinely play the game without having to have my other 2 fronts do most of the work while I looked pretty

Quits the game to play in a banned weapon charity tourney for trans folks just to play Splattershot JR and quit again. #Yup #Splatoon #Transrights

Watched the first 6 episodes of Avatar Seven Havens and this has been the first time I've ever been this interested in the show since the original. I think its really good so far and I'm excited for more.

I think the character work and world building are both just top notch so far. There's a lot of real mysteries and things to put together and so far its doing a good job.

A tier list concept I've had in my head for a long time "How much does this weapon tilt me?" tier list One kit per weapon choosing the most relevant and/or opinionated one

This event is happening TOMORROW and we have around 93/128 team cap, if you want to register please do so asap and I hope to see people supporting the stream.

Reminder this is in 1 week and we already have over half the cap filled, so don't wait until the last day!

Thinking of a few changes: 1) Make "custom url" mandatory and only allow changing it rarely. Show history of the custom url. To identify each account. 2) Make it forbidden to use in-game alt names in SQ/tournaments. 🧵 for reasoning but feel free to give your opinion here or Discord #sendouink

We decided to expand the team cap to fit up to 128 teams now, so let's see if we can get that many
