Elon Musk is now a Trillionaire. People are saying that if we "liquidated him", it would mean $2919 for every American. But this wealth isn't in cash, so what would that actually look like? Would we all own fractions of all the Cybertrucks, and shares of SpaceX? Wouldn't those plummet in value?

Well I just watched Apple’s WWDC keynote, and gawd was it awful. They briefly mentioned that some people have concerns about AI, and then responded in the worst way possible: “We are deeply embedding AI into everything we do.” Dumbass!

The AI imaging I use does absolutely nothing unless I launch it and make requests. I understand its output and can repair or reject anything it does that is wrong. Everything they showed is the opposite.

AI ought to ship completely off, and then only be turned on by the user in contexts where they understand what it should, or might do. Apple kept saying that they were putting the user first, but it seems like controlling those users is their main objective.

The number one legitimate objection to AI is the lack of user control. It keeps jumping in and disrupting what the user is trying to do by pushing some company’s paid service instead. Almost everything they showed AI helping you with is stuff they have made needlessly complicated without AI.

This still hasn't happened. Right now (April 2026) the constellation is rising in the east around sunset, and will be high in the sky around midnight. As months go by, it will be higher and further west after each sunset.
