This is only possible thanks to philanthropic funding from the Viillars Institute Foundation and Silvania, the remarkable vision of Director Fredi Devas and Producer Johnny Hughes and Colin Butfield, and the dedication of presenters, filmmakers, campaigners, activists and scientists around the world

Across the 12 month programme, these challenges include films, podcasts, presentations, art pieces, social media campaigns, live TV shows, commissioner pitches, school events, press releases, policy briefings, audio trails, magazines, reflective writing, natural history scripts and more.

By connecting people to planet your contribution is immeasurable, from entertaining generations of nature-loving armchair naturalists and inspiring 1000s of students around the world to choose careers in biology, to challenging world leaders to protect nature and championing heroes in conservation.

Your philosophy of sharing the wonder, beauty and surprise of the natural world universally instils nature in our hearts and minds, highlighting the urgency of the climate and biodiversity crises, and motivating action to better protect our living world.

Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy. This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis. 44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.

Covid 2020: The year of the quiet ocean Imagine an ocean without noise pollution. The pandemic gave a rare opportunity to listen to the ocean, and we were ready! Fabulous article by #FrankieAdkins for #BBC_EARTH covering our work in the #IQOE community: www.bbc.co.uk/future/artic...

bbc.co.ukCovid 2020: The year of the quiet oceanDuring the lockdowns of 2020, global shipping was severely restricted and ocean noise pollution all but ceased. Instead the songs of fish filled the sea.

WHALES! Excited to see the latest Usborne Beginners book is out in time for Christmas. Great honour to contribute into these wonderful books as scientific consultant. As a boy growing up in London, I know I would have spent days and days in my local library discovering the wonders of the deep.

Delighted to support the amazing #PratchayaPhinthong with his #PhuketBiennale2025 installation. Our collaboration took us to meet the Moken people, capture video and audio at degraded inshore and also pristine Surin Island reefs to bring to the installation, and build a restoration reef of hope!

Two great opportunities to join a wonderful team working on the business of marine restoration...
