2nd week and I'm trying to focus more on faces since it's the part I feel least confident about especially with proportions and the placement of its features. Tried out the Loomis method and I'm surprised how well it even works with low res pixel art. #pixelart

Here's my process. After getting the head right I didn't really know how the hair of the character should look like in the end so I went with something easy. Next time I'm going to try that method with an existing character to see how to find the right head proportions 😅

You know I've been trying to get the hang of pixel art since the last few days and I gotta say that stuff is way harder than it looks. I've been recreating some sprites from Pokemon Red / Blue and now I'm trying to create sprites from different characters in a similar style for practice.

I finished one sprite today and I'm thinking about posting it later even though it's still a bit rough around the edges. But I'm actually a lil bit proud of it since it's my first try on it 😅

I've been tutoring since the beginning of the year and I really need to say German is such a darn hard language to learn. For every rule, there are always at least twice as many exceptions. I've come to the point where English is much easier to teach even though German is my native language. 😅

I'm back from buying milk. Anything I missed the last 3 months?

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of covering Persona music. Not entirely sure if it fits my style but I'm intrigued enough to maybe try it out :3

Damn and the new Fire Emblem also looks cool. I understand that many non-RPG gamers were disappointed with the Nintendo Direct but damn, there were lots of cool RPG's I want to play. The new Final Fantasy game also looks dope af 😊

I don't really remember having a long list of releasing games I'd like to play as I have now. Like Ocarina of Time this year, then Persona 4R next year and maybe even Persona 6 and Xenoblade Genesis and Pokemon is also coming out in 2027. Really need more time to fully engage in all of the games 😅

And there are lots of small games and indie games which were announced I also want to play. I'm glad that, for the first time in a few years, I'm really looking forward to several video games. ^^

After watching everything I was interested in I must say this was probably my favorite Summer Games Fest till now. There are lots of games I'd like to play especially in 2027 and I still don't know how to manage that with my limited time 😅

I gotta say I dig the sound direction from Pokemon Champions. That more mature and dirty tone many tracks have really suit my taste in music. Although I think the game wasted potential since many tracks used in battles are just the original tracks from other games. Remixes would be so much better 🤔

I'm thinking about recording saxophone for future covers for some time now but I never found the confidence in doing so. Since I'm starting to feel mentally better now I guess this might be the next step I might take. Not promising though since I'm kinda scared about the judgement from others

I know I'm late to the party but here's my take to the last Pokemon Presents. Actually as thought most of it wasn't really interesting to me. Pokopia actually seems to be way better and deeper than I thought when it was announced and Pokemon XD as addition is actually really awesome.

Also Pokemon Wind & Waves look way better than I anticipated. Still a little bit skeptical since I don't know how the gameplay will be. When they keep the open world formula I really hope they finally use a dynamic level system so you really can explore the world in the way you like.

Since the release will be next year I really hope the games will have better technical standards as the last entries. Also Pombon is maybe one of the best first stages of a starter Pokemon ever, nobody is gonna change my mind in that regard. I just hope he doesn't stand up in his evolution line 😅

What did I miss the last few weeks during my social media detox? I had some real bad mood since I had to deal with some troubling stuff in my life but it's actually getting better right now.

I started working as a tutor part time and right now I really enjoy the work. I also have enough mental energy again to devote myself to my music. I have some plans to put my tracks to the next level which needs some more stuff I need to learn but I'm really looking forward to it. ^^
