"so what they are just going to vote republican" no, they are going to pack their shit and move to somewhere else where their child will be safe. this shit isn't a game, its life and death for years now we have been witnessing an internal trans refugee crisis in the states for this reason

liberalcurrents.comThe American Transgender Refugee CrisisIf this were occurring abroad, to an ethnic minority, we would call it ethnic cleansing.

do you really expect the loving parents of a trans kid to vote for a politician who promises to take their child's healthcare away? you'd be absurd to say yes we have friends, family spouses. when you come for us they aren't going to throw us away, that's what they'll do to you

Sometimes my WIPs are funnier than the finished product. I’ve been so busy and low key drained by work and bullshit (life happens man, idk what kind of karmic debt im paying with my car rn, it’s annoying) but i have been better about carving time to draw which is pretty cool

when I was little my neighbors had one of these in their backyard, up on a hill surrounded by trees. You could see very far from up there. It was essentially our base of operations all summer. We did partition off the bottom part to create a dark little room under the platform with the slide.

Fanlee’s mom appears in this one and Friday Night Plans. Fanlee’s dad appears in The Move. She has her mother’s eyes and her father’s eyebrows. I think that’s how genetics works.

a brief aside about “the move”

Fanlee has a little brother named Kevin who hasn’t appeared in the comic so far, though you can see his bike and some chalk drawings he made in Friday Night Plans. Spätzle is an only child.

Realized I never posted this one on here! I like it a lot. This was the first comic I made after the publication of Fanlee and Spätzle Make Something Perfect, and the first of a series of comics I had planned to show Fanlee and Spätzle’s friendship over the years.

I only made a few of those (up to Friday Night Plans) before covid hit and threw my life into disarray and then when I got my shit together I had a kid which threw my life into disarray, and I never really got to make that series 😓(maybe someday)

I saw someone online posting about Nathan Fielder and they referred to him as “Nate” and feigning that level of familiarity with Nathan Fielder feels so perverse to me. I have never been more acutely aware of the walls that separate me from truly knowing another person as I am with Nathan Fielder

It’s important sometimes to pause and ask yourself: emma do you really want to be in the murder cult or do you just want sisterhood and dancing? Answer probably not UNLESS they called me may queen too and also let me offer up some awful dudes I know as sacrifices

By which I mean I got stuck in a traffic jam on my way to PCX and while I was walking from where I parked to the con I had to pee really bad, and I passed a Catholic church with its doors wide open for Saturday afternoon mass and I slipped in, smiled at the pastor, used their bathroom, and bounced

goose wanted to play a new game called “potty poops” where I sit cross-legged on the floor and she sits on my lap and then we pretend to be poops in the potty and we get flushed and go through the sewer system (in her imagination it is a water slide)

It was me and her and her monkey stuffy and we had to hold on very tight so the three of us didn’t get separated and don’t be silly of course I didn’t almost cry playing Potty Poops because my daughter was clinging to me saying DON’T LET ME GO MOMMY WE NEED TO STAY TOGETHER

so a lot of pretend slaloming to the left and right, and pretending to go round and round into drains. She loved it so much she said “I want to play potty poops every single day, do you promise?” And well I guess that’s what we’re doing because a mom’s only as good as her word
