GAH! My /boot directory is full and I can't full update to the newest kernel. I only have the current kernel and the new one partially installed. Can't roll back because several packages have dependencies that rely on new kernel and if I keep removing these packages I eventually get to the "danger

Will Robison!" Warnings. A 512 MB /boot partition does not appear sufficient and I can't adjust the size, can't create a new partition somewhere else. #Linux #help

theregister.comSwitzerland built an alternative to BGP. Nobody noticedFeature: SCION: Proven in banking and healthcare, slow to spread everywhere else

4 Aug

I've been fascinated with BGP since I first learned it's basics 15 years ago. Truly remarkable protocol and it's longevity. Been curious why it remains one of the few core protocols left that does not have a SEC version #networking #bgp #standards www.theregister.com/on-prem/2026...

4 Aug

As an additional aspect of respect and love, the fact that the protocol was designed to adjust network routes faster than human perception was fascinating. A technical technology protocol that takes the importance of human perception into account is top shelf, IMO #psychology #perception
