Again, please share. In every aspect of American history you will run smack dab into the critical contributions of Black people. It’s not Black history. It’s American history. Trying to erase it is a fool’s errand. We live it every day. time.com/5836444/blac...

Very disappointed to see that @whitehouse.senate.gov voted to advance the nomination of Sheria Clarke to be a federal district judge even after she refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election or the illegitimacy of the violent Jan 6 attempt to repudiate its result.

Note that there's been no threat to sue over this statement. I know I would be suing for tens of millions if I was innocent.

Hey, @schumer.senate.gov , when are your fellow Senate Ds going to quit voting for the regime's judicial nominees? They are collaborating with an enemy attempting to eviscerate our Constitution from within. And this is why my campaign donations go to individual candidates, not D organizations.

I find everything about the felon-in-chief repulsive, so I'm not actually listening to him "brief" the press, but just the quotes on the chyron are scaring the shit out of me.

Replying to @newseye.bsky.social

These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm. The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now! Defund FEMA and people are abandoned. Defund public media and no-one knows. FYI, today is Indigenous Peoples Day.

We’re not dealing with brilliant strategists cleverly laying traps, we’re dealing with impulsive whiners whose advantage is contempt for laws, norms, and morality. They’re not pulling some elaborate trick, they’re just willing—even eager—to do things regular, principled people consider off limits.

Please repost. Tennessee is pushing the boundaries of fascism at the state level.

When D leadership anoints a bland, mush-mouth, "centrist", quasi-R to run on the D ticket, progressive Ds are expected to stifle their objections, support the ticket, and vote for that person, but when D voters pick a progressive to run for them, D leadership feels free to be . . . unenthusiastic.

There is something just grotesquely ironic about the fact that tomorrow, when we will be expected to celebrate our nation's independence, we will be living under the very kind of autocratic, arbitrary, corrupt regime from which we sought independence.

Why do so many D leaders think that doing what is best for America requires appealing to R voters? Those voters have pretty consistently demonstrated that they can't figure out what's best for them, let alone what's good for the rest of the country.

Speaker Pro Tempore: You are to direct your comments to the chair. Jeffries: You know what's interesting? Every time I come on this floor, I can use sharp language, he can use sharp language, you choose to admonish me. I don't work for you sir. I work for the American people.

Chuck Schumer, John Fetterman, Kirsten Gillibrand, Maggie Hassan, Gary Peters, Angus King, Catherine Cortez Masto, Jean Shaheen, Brian Schatz, & Dick Durbin The Dems who refused to use the only leverage they have. Let it be known.

To John Fetterman and any other D senators who think a government shutdown is the worst thing that could happen: the current government is not working for the best interests of the people. In fact, it is working against those interests. Shutting it down would be a good thing.

It's weird that Musk took his kid to an important business meeting, but it's kind of fascinating that his kid was dressed more appropriately for the occasion than he was.

Respectfully requesting that Senate Ds only vote to approve cabinet nominees who pledge to honor the rule of law over the wishes of the convicted felon. Even a little fascism is too much.

If TIME did not intend their Man of the Year designation to be an honor, why did they do a puff piece interview instead of a critical analysis setting out all the ways he intends to eviscerate democracy world-wide and destroy the United States?

OK, I'm already tired of hearing about Luigi Mangione. I don't care what your grievance is. If you think picking up a gun and shooting someone is the appropriate way to solve it, you're just one of the sicker puppies in this sick society.

When he says he has a concept of a plan, why isn't the very next question, "What's your concept?" He doesn't know anything about a plan - or a concept - except the slogan.

Biden told us we'll "be okay" under the next administration. He now realizes some will not. I don't blame him for acting to shield his son from further attacks, but what is he doing to protect the rest of us?

Can't fault Merrick Garland for not anticipating how egregiously SCOTUS would delay and derail the former prez's prosecution; nobody did. But prioritizing DOJ appearing non-political over DOJ appearing, you know, justice-y, is all on him.

What kind of argument is "we can't hold him accountable because he's (almost) the president"? The fact that he's almost the president (again) is all the more reason we SHOULD hold him accountable. He's walking away with zero consequences for his corrupt and treasonous conduct.

Retired attorney who did a brief stint as a prosecutor. How can any attorney argue in good faith that whether a prosecution may "seem" politically motivated is more important than whether there is actual proof of a crime? What part of "the rule of law" do they not understand?

You are up to date.
