The Kiril adapted from the Celestial beasts, Ki-rin, these beings are ambassadors for the Celestial Plane within the Material. They possess divination powers, the ability to walk on water, and radiant unarmed strikes. They were really fun to design. #dndhomebrew #ttrpg #dndart #anthro

The semi-nomadic Lepiderae people resemble moths and butterflies. A Lepidera’s appearance and abilities are determined by the height of the sun and moon during hatching, and are aptly dubbed Solarborn (butterfly-like) or Lunarborn (moth-like). #dndhomebrew #ttrpg #dndart #specbio #anthro

finally happy with my rough elevation map for my personal #worldbuilding project. with this and precip done, i can finally move on to climate prediction, which is the concept that really kickstarted all of this. #ttrpg #fantasymap #dnd

dnd sometimes means not rlly having permanent "ocs" to tell stories about in a traditional sense. these two belong to a group of 12 heroes from a turning point in my worldbuilding history who all worked together to drive back a great evil army. eventually i want to write a short story abt them all.

@ other dm's: what are some philosophies/approaches you take as a dm when it comes to forcing changes or altering effects onto your players' characters? do you give them warning? surprise them? things like limb loss or scarring, or magical ageing, or even requiring a level in warlock? #ttrpg #dnd5e

DnD character concept - A retired old lady is brought back into action by a quest, in which she is forced to face consequences for mistakes she made decades ago #furry #furryart #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #ttrpg

most recent endeavor has been revisiting (again, for an undisclosed amt of times) my landmasses for my world map, so that i can use my speculative geography learned from various videos to (roughly) project ocean currents, to then (roughly) project climate zones #worldbuilding #ttrpg

worldbuilding adventure tonight has been thinking about the different ways, both real and fantasy, that regions are physically and ecologically divided! and then following that with "is what is on the other side of this division worth crossing to the people here? and if so, how do they cross it?"

does the potential for trade with another region mean that the two collaborate on inventing better ways to traverse the hazard? does an isolated kingdom use the terrain as a way to keep people in, or out? is the land crossable, but the wildlife (dragons, etc) dangerous? gives a lot of cool prompts

my biggest personal creative endeavor over the past 2yrs is creating an entire worldbuilding planet setting for my dnd games, and lately i have found myself caught up in worrying that all of this creative energy is being focused on something too inherently derivative to have merit, and that sucks

i wish i got any payoff beyond player engagement. sometimes i wish i were just writing a novel. but i have tried recently to sit down and like. write narrated stories, and i find that something that felt natural to me when i was a teenager no longer comes so easily, and that also sucks

You are up to date.
