I remember Sundays spent reading the Washington Post damn near end to end. Stretched out on the floor with comics, sports, and style sections sprawling in front of me, my cat would walk across the paper and plunk himself right down on whatever I was reading. I miss those days.

What’s happening, void? I’m in psychological agony tonight. She’s out of town so I’m helping with the dog. She had a framed picture of her and him sitting out. This has wrecked me tonight. Can’t clear my mind. It hurts many times more than I thought it could. It’s hard to handle. Thanks, black hole.

Even with a lifetime of struggling, it's scary how easy it is to slip. Suddenly you feel buried alive. Unable or unwilling to move forward to accomplish even the barest minimum. Getting plans thought out in terrifying details. Then, snap. Holy shit that was close. You can tough it out. ALONE.

Void, The soap opera continues. He went to the house Monday to do yard work with my wife. The DAY AFTER I moved out. Quick version: they took hours longer than they said. So I went over there. They were in the backyard bagging leaves. I walked UP and told him, "Get the fuck out of here. NOW!!!"

So, void, it keeps getting worse. She's openly cheating. Like it's no big deal. I asked her if he was educated. I was thinking college, but no. Turns out he quit school at 16. No diploma, no GED. She also said he's unattractive. It's pathetic and it's absurd.

Didn't mean to send that yet. We've been together for 28 years, 26 married. She met this guy in a bar in April. He showed her divorce documents to prove he wasn't married. Apparently he doesn't give a shit that she is. Also- he got divorced on 2009 BUT STILL LIVES WITH HIS EX-WIFE.

Hello void. Geographic cures do not work. I know this, but I try anyway. There's a line from a Social Distortion song which I'm reminded of every time I try: "wherever I have gone I was sure to find myself there/ you can run all your life but not go anywhere."

Soccer appreciation: Clint Dempsey completely outclasses the current USMNT. He was a hard nosed finisher who inspired his teammates with his fearlessness and will. In his era the team had swagger and determination. They didn't fold up like the current whining crybabies.
