i know we dont post much here. we tend to check in, look at cute pics of foxxos, buns, & kitties. then all the other stuff makes us depressed & we check out again before the urge to actually say anything catches up to us. so uh, idk. thank you for the cute foxxos, buns, & kitties i guess

do other authors get sad when they finish writing a book / series? yesterday i wrote the last chapter of the last book of a saga i've been working on since 2021 & it made me very sad. like i was saying goodbye to old friends after going thru a bunch of adventures with them

cw: rant goddess we hate UPS. to the point where we won't do business with places if we know they use UPS to ship stuff first ups said it'd be delivered aug 18, 09h30 - 13h30 so we made sure to be home then. 14h30 tracking updated to "end of day today" ofc they never showed up at all >:(

so after the UPS agent swore the package was coming today (and i had him repeat that twice) the biggest shock of the year is... UPS never showed up. and the tracking website still says they have no idea when it will be delivered. because i don't think they know where it is. goddess we hate UPS

asked for a support callback thru the virtual assistant. had to wait 10 mins then a computer called. put us on hold. got to speak to a person who didn't know anything we'd entered on the web form. his solution: "this is international, not my dept." transfered to other dept. "hold time 25 mins." >:(

UPS's website: "don't bother our agents, they have the same info as the tracking page" UPS agent: "idk why the website says it was due monday, my computer says it wasn't released from customs until monday. idk why the website says 'delivery date unknown' my screen says its being delivered today"

then 22h30 tracking updated to "we dont know what day it'll be delivered" and there's been no updates since then and they deleted the earlier "out for delivery" entries, to make it look like it didn't spend all day in a truck yesterday is it lost? is it coming today? tomorrow? who knows? not UPS

UPS tracking still doesn't know where the package is or when it'll be delivered. their virtual assistant is less than useless. so is their phone support system.

the reason we don't do bsky posts every time we share a chapter is we publish new chapters every other day. 3 / week to patreon & 3 more / week on scribble. and that's just our regular schedule, there's also commission chapters & other extras. so we're always posting something somewhere

we've been writers blocked for almost 10 days now & its getting annoying. we were hoping to finish the 1st draft of our current project by tomorrow, but thats definitely not gonna happen... theres at least 6 more chapters to go, unless characters get zoomies again

its backyard berry time! spent like 2 or 3 minutes just wandering around the yard & easily filled a little bowl with fresh black raspberries! free tasty treats make us happy ^^

our raspberry bushes are looking good this morning too, we can see a dozen berries ready to go! they're black raspberries, no idea where they came from but one year they started growing in our yard. now we've got 3 huge stands of them ^^

on thursday the laundryroom door fell off when we opened it. fixed it yesterday & now it works perfectly. all last week our kitchen tap was getting more & more drippy. replaced the valve cartridge this morning, now there's no drips & it works great! feeling kinda chuffed with ourself today ^^
