Putridum Soli

Our official Patreon page is finally set up! Pages 3 and 4 will be available for free this time next week, but for as little as $3 a month you can see them now! patreon.com/PutridumSoli...

Sorry, our artist is currently occupied with a big move to a new area, so no new pages on Patreon this week. But we’ll be sure to make up for it once they’re safely settled in, and you can still look forward to seeing pages 5 and 6 released publicly next Saturday!

Some of our most talented members have finally gotten the ball rolling on their own original series, so please give them your support if you can!

Putridum Soli Issue #1 Pages 1 and 2 (1/2) Art by @dictcola.bsky.social and @nonitheartist.bsky.social oni

It's finally time! After almost a year since the project began, we're ready to post the first two pages tomorrow! And in the wake of that momentous news... have a gyaru Laya, I guess. #PutridumSoli #announcement #sticker Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

"Just as the sparks of new life emerge from the flame, so too shall they return..." A commission from the immeasurably excellent @drawloverlala.bsky.social, it was an honor to have her draw Captain Ellanna Lightburn for us! We only hope our story will do her art justice! #Commission #comic #ocart

Just a Laya bust to remind you all that we're still kicking! Things are a bit slow right now as we prepare to start releasing issue 1, but we promise it'll be worth the wait! #PutridumSoli #ocart #webcomic Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Black and white commission for @putridumsoli.bsky.social

Some High School AU fanart made by @ianwafflez.bsky.social! No matter the universe, Laya is always eager to emulate her senpai. But this time, instead of knighthood she adopts the gyaru style and the color red! Let's hope Ellanna doesn't send her down the wrong path... #ocart #au #fanart #comic

The script for issue 1 is finally complete! At a whopping 88 pages, this will be a monster of an introduction split into 3 acts. Don't mistake the length for a slow and meandering pace, and be prepared for the ride of your life... but for now, rest easy. #comic #art Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

A Layla from Putridum Soli! Haven't drawn people in a long time :) 💕 #fanart

#Happy4thofJuly! To celebrate this quarter-millenium occasion, here's some more progress on the cover for issue 1. ... ... It has red, white and blue on it, okay?! Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Just in time, our bisexual Vice Captain is here to wish you all a #happypridemontheveryone! Of course, we all know there’s only one person in Laya's heart, but that doesn't invalidate her feelings or anyone else's! Follow her example and be true to yourself! Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

WIPs for the pencils of the first two pages of issue 1! The Zophar Kingdom is preparing for some sort of holiday, but it seems not everyone is in a festive mood. How will our Vice Captain handle the situation? #webcomic #PutridumSoli #comicart Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Laya has always idolized Ellanna, perhaps a bit too much. Despite how much stronger she's gotten, is her mind what's holding her back from reaching her full potential? Make sure to keep rooting for our Vice Captain as her journey goes on! #PutridumSoli #ocart #comic Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

The cover for issue 1 is coming along smoothly, so here's a sneak peek of Laya in all her colorful glory! And if you think it's pretty now, just wait until you see the stained glass behind her in full color! #webcomicday #PutridumSoli Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Finally, some tangible progress on the main story! Here are the WIPs of the cover and first page of issue 1. Do you have any ideas and/or theories on how our story begins? Either way, we hope you enjoy! Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

"By Lord Ulren's will, I shall bathe every last sinner in the holy flame of absolution." Ellanna's character sheet is finally done! Some may say that the cloth suits her more than the blade, but make no mistake: she's where she belongs. #PutridumSoli #webcomic #ocart Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Sneak peek of Ellanna's reference sheet! With her trusty blade in one hand and holy magic in the other, our Knight Captain will stop at nothing to serve the one and only deity in her mind. #webcomic #PutridumSoli #ocart Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Old concept art for Laya and Ellanna by @dictcola.bsky.social! We cycled through a lot of design ideas for our two main ladies, but we're happy with the final versions. Look forward to seeing Ellanna's finished design sheet soon! #webcomic #PutridumSoli #concept_art

As you might expect, Laya stuck to Ellanna like glue from the very beginning. Becoming Vice Captain didn't change that at all, except now she has to be more professional about it. Bonus points if you spot the reference! #ocart #webcomic #PutridumSoli #yuri Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

As Captain, Ellanna needs lots of protein to keep her muscles and energy at top form. The other knights are used to this, but sadly it might ruin Laya's perfect image of her... #ocart #webcomic #PutridumSoli #knight Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Despite her friendly nature, Laya actually tends to get a bit out of control when she's drunk. But as for Ellanna... the world may never know. What do you think? #ocart #webcomic #PutridumSoli #yuri #hairflip Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Thank you so much for the wonderful fanart by the awesome mj_finchum on instagram! Please follow them!

"There may be wolves and sheep in this world... but who says a sheep needs to be weak?" Reference sheet for Laya is finally done! We'll try to have more characters ready in the coming weeks, but let us know what you think below! #webcomic #ocart #PutridumSoli #fantasy Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Before becoming a knight, Laya worked as a barmaid to make ends meet and support her struggling family. This is just old concept art, but if you have any thoughts on what to keep or change for the final design, feel free to share! #oc #webcomic #PutridumSoli #fantasy Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Thank you so much! I was literally jumping in joy seeing this. It's so cute, and captures her energy so well! Please give them a follow!

Dusting off my sketchbook! Here’s Laya from @putridumsoli.bsky.social 🥰

A sneak peek into Laya's design sheet we plan to post next week! We want to reach 20 followers by the end of February, so give us a follow if you want to see how a young and plucky knight can survive in a world subsistent on cruelty! #PutridumSoli #webcomic #oc Art by @dictcola.bsky.social

Check out our new profile picture! I accidentally put way too much effort into what was going to be just 50 pixels on your screen, so I'm posting it here for everyone to see too :3 Please share to support our dark fantasy webcomic! #webcomic #art #digitalart #oc #indiecomic

As a proof of concept, here's an old test page we made last year. It won't have any bearing on the main story moving forward, but hopefully it'll give you an idea of the dynamic between the main two girls! #OC #indieart #medieval #comic #newyear #PutridumSoli
