We are now deploying systems that are simultaneously the researcher, the subject of the research, and the evaluator of their own progress. Initially I did not plan to investigate this angle but RSI is the reason behind much of what is going on in terms of what all the fuzz is about

AI training AI is a reality, and if they succeed then AGI is a matter of course, but the problem is, given the research, this would result in something that cannot be controlled it is a massive problem, hence the REAL reason for the so call "pacing the frontier".
