While I was in Madison today I had the pleasure of stopping by Lieutenant Governor Sarah Rodriguez‘s office to discuss disability issues. Her time in politics is coming to a close in January but she will be finishing her PhD soon and is an amazing ally to the disability community.

It was an honor to receive the Michael J Falconer Award for Distinguished Service from the Governor’s Committee for People With Disabilities today. I am truly humbled. There is so much more work to do.

Nobody wants to elect a politician, whose plans are going to take decades to have an impact on your life. Francesca Hong gets it.

It’s kind of weird that when I post my real life advocacy on here it gets less attention than when I do on Twitter. I know I have way less followers here, but I feel like at least 20 people should have liked this.

So anyway, an extremely violent tornado went 2 miles east of me today destroying Menasha Wisconsin. Photos are from NBC 26 in Green Bay.
