🌱 came across this scene this morning. I had no idea praying mantis eat bees

A great blue Heron stalks a recently stocked pond in British Columbia

I guess rancid roadkill tartare and raw milk milkshakes may not be a great flex. www.ms.now/opinion/rfk-...

Sunset at White Sands

Now what kind of flower was that again🌱 It’s a robber fly

The cyber truck is the Edsel of this generation

🌱 I love Zinnias. One of my favorites this summer

The pic says it all

True dat.

Go home Spurs. You’re beat

Zinnias come in so many sizes and colors. This is my favorite one so far this year. 🌱

With the stock market being closed on Monday I expect either renewed hostilities in the Middle East, an invasion of Cuba, or both. Plenty of time to manipulate the markets over the 3 day weekend

Why is my feed suddenly full of anime posts. Never liked it, never will.

People say Trumps fans are in a cult, but it seems more like a klan to me

Good morning. These Gazanias are loving spring. 🌱

How do we know when Spring has sprung, seedlings springing Next comes Summers sun 🌱

This is so well done. 👌

Oh! Deer! Not sure who was more surprised

A few carrots from the garden. Only a couple of shorties. I’ll call it a win. 🌱

🌱 picture of a robber fly waiting for prey on the top of a tomato cage

The White House seems awfully quiet on the new that Cuba killed 4 Americans and wounded several others. Why is the guy who can’t keep his mouth shut suddenly quiet?

Another shot from Bosque Del Apache

Visited Bosque Del Apache yesterday. Very cool spot. Snow geese and Sandhill Cranes winter over there

🌱 December Petunia bloom in 8b. We have a very gradual fall here and some plants seem to have acclimated to light freezes. We’ve been as low as 28 with several nights at 30° In spite of that I still have some peppers and today a Petunia bloom

Anyone else wondering if the Brown University shootings and the murder of a MIT professor are related?

🌱 Probably the last blooms of the season. We’re gonna have a freeze in 8b sooner or later.

About time to head out looking again. Last night just east of Las Cruces off hwy 70. Cars and truck lights on road in foreground

🌱 I think my first try did not post. Here’s a sweet potato I grew weighing in at over 2.5 lbs. They love the summer heat

Finally found out what’s eating my pepper leaves and leaving semi circle bite marks. This is caused by leaf cutter bees. They are beneficial and great pollinators. The “damage” to the plants does not hurt the plants and is far outweighed by the benefits of pollination 🌱

Gomphrena loves the Southern New Mexico climate. 🌱

Bees love passionflowers 🌱

Cancel Hulu and other networks. Cancelling free speech needs to cost them

Say hello to my little friend 🌱

Pepper jelly made from red jalapeños, big Jim, and Aleppo peppers I grew from seed. 🌱

🌱 The peppers are coming! I’ll probably make some jalapeño jelly with this batch

🌱#ThickTrunkTuesday

Saw these hiking in BC. Someone else says they are Hydnellum caeruleum but those appear to have blue caps whereas these have blue stems. Any mushroom experts know for sure? 🌱

A recent post inspired me to pull up this slow motion video of a hummingbird moth that I shot 2 summers ago 🌱

These Antigua eggplant have been very productive this year. 🌱

This tree, deeply rooted and at the same time, hanging on for dear life is a metaphor for democracy 🌱

🌱 The bees just love this bloom. I believe this is a Yucca Faxoniana. There are probably 20 to 30 bees at a time all day on this bloom. Hopefully they also pollinate my other plants!

🌱 backlit Chocolate cherry sunflower and the sunset behind it.

🌱 First one of the season

🌱 a few pics from the back yard and my plot at the community garden

🌱 interesting blooms on this large bush / small tree at my house. Came with the house so I don’t know the name

🌱 Pretty excited to see my first ever successful rebloom of an orchid and the first Calendula bloom of the season.

Harvested these yesterday. Overwintered in a row tunnel that gives about 7° protection and these made it through lots of nights in low 20’s and a few upper teens 🌱 zone 8b

🌱 Pulled back the row cover on one of my raised beds this morning. Cauliflower is heading up nicely despite a pretty cold January. That’s extra good news since I need that space for pepper and tomato seedlings in a few weeks.
