@swradiogram.bsky.social Did WRMI's carrier drop early? Four images from Saturday's 2300 UTC broadcast as received in northern Florida, USA. Reception wasn't that great through most of the broadcast with what looks like backscatter in the images.

@swradiogram.bsky.social KBC's test broadcast from Armenia on Saturday was strong enough here in northern Florida, USA to get both text and image sent in MFSK64. 7475 kHz, 2000-2100 UTC.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Bill Wyman's Birthday Radiogram from Friday's broadcast of "The Giant Jukebox" from The Mighty KBC. Received using KiwiSDR in upper MA. Good signal, but with a couple of glitches.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Very good results here in northern Florida, USA with Thursday's WINB broadcast, 2330-2400 UTC on 9265 kHz. Using Airspy HF+ and 90' doublet antenna.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Surprised by results of such great quality of local reception of Sunday's 1430 UTC broadcast on 9955 kHz here in northern Florida, USA. Much cooler weather here with lows in the 50s.
@swradiogram.bsky.social A strong signal from WRMI into northern Florida for Saturday's 2300 UTC broadcast on 9455 kHz. Good not seeing those color shifts in the images!
@swradiogram.bsky.social Great solid reception last night here in northern Florida, USA. SDR# showed a very high SNR using AirSpy HF+ and the 60' doublet antenna. The signal level really picked up about 30 minutes before the broadcast
@swradiogram.bsky.social The first six images decoded in northern Florida, USA during Thursday's broadcast over WINB, 2330-2400 UTC on 9265 kHz. And opening text in MFSK32 ...
@swradiogram.bsky.social The second six from the broadcast and the text from the supercapacitor story in MFSK64.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Missed the RxID to MFSK64 but manually changed modes and caught these images during Wednesday's broadcast on 15770 kHz in northern Florida, USA. MFSK32 text was perfect.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Image results from Saturday's 2300 UTC broadcast received in northern Florida, USA on 9455 kHz. WRMI had a very strong signal here today. SDR# reported SNRs over +60 dB. Using a wire antenna I was picking up some QRN and baseline was bouncing somewhat.
@swradiogram.bsky.social A good set of image decodes from Thursday evening (2300z) received in northern Florida, USA! Lots of lighting strikes in southern states. We're not in the path of Isaias. Hope those in the path @sportyporcupine.bsky.social and @masterplayer301.bsky.social are safe!
@swradiogram.bsky.social The first six images received in northern Florida, USA during Wednesday's 1330 UTC broadcast on 15770 kHz transmitted over WRMI in Okeechobee, FL ...
@swradiogram.bsky.social ...and the final five from the broadcast. Received using Airspy HF+, SDR#, FLDigi, and Windows 11. Antenna is a 90' doublet.
@popshopradio.bsky.social Last night's Radiogram image as received in northern Florida, USA. I enjoyed the variety of songs! Michael Parks, now that goes back a ways! WRMI's signal strength took a hit halfway through the data segment. Text decoding of the backstory and playlist was 100%.
@swradiogram.bsky.social I'm getting better decoding the program with my Linux Mint based computer. This go-around I used an Icom IC-718 analog receiver to feed FLDigi during Monday's 0800 UTC broadcast. QTH: northern Florida, USA... <more>
@swradiogram.bsky.social The next group of images decoded. Not sure what happened to the Hungarian Parliament building image. Routing audio in Mint is a little tricky. Installing the pavucontrol application helps a lot!
@swradiogram.bsky.social The only image gleaned from Sunday's broadcast 1430-1500 UTC on 9955 kHz. True blue roses sent in MFSK32. Used a remote SDR in upper MA, but conditions were such that FLDigi missed the RxID and did not switch modems to catch the rest of the images that were sent in MFSK64.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Saturday evening's images from the 2300z broadcast on 9455 kHz decoded in northern Florida, USA. Breaking in a new system with Linux Mint, SDROxide, and FLDigi software. SDRplay RSPdx connected to 94' end-fed longwire antenna. Images 1-6...
@swradiogram.bsky.social The remaining images decoded in n. Florida from the broadcast. Including a screenshot of SDRoxide; quite impressive software!
Tune in this week's "The Giant Jukebox" with host Eric van Willegan and see Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe get caught Smokin' (ham??) in the Boys Room! Birthday Radiogram's segment in MFSK64 midway through the show. @swradiogram.bsky.social
@swradiogram.bsky.social Great reception of WRMI in upper MA for Wednesday's 1330z broadcast on 15770 kHz. I think the glitches and left-side color/image shifts are originating with @WRMI's playout system. It would be nice to get it back to normal. Fingers crossed!
@swradiogram.bsky.social @popshopradio.bsky.social Images decoded in northern Florida, USA on Saturday during the 2300-2330 UTC broadcast. Just a little off the track in spots. I saw the same group of shifts on a Linux system in another part of the house on a different antenna and receiver.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Snow on the tracks! Last night's results with the WINB, 0230-0300 UTC - 9265 kHz broadcast as it chugged its way down south to a very cool northern Florida, USA. Bundle up!
@popshopradio.bsky.social Showed up on a FB group. I might be able to get him interested in tuning in this week's show...
@swradiogram.bsky.social A wonderful bunch of Canadian railway posters on this week's program! Excellent decoding here in northern Florida, USA with Thursday's 2330-2400 UTC, 9265 kHz broadcast! Congratulations Tony Pavick @popshopradio.bsky.social, it was fun riding the rails with you!
With Shortwave Radiogram focusing on train travel these two weeks, here we have a case where new is old again. The Railroads Were Once the Octopus That A.I. Is Now www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/o...
@swradiogram.bsky.social FLDigi helps create the sense of speed with this City of New Orleans travel poster decode with the soundcard's PPM setting set too high. Up early to catch the last run of Program 467. Local reception in northern Florida, USA had too much multipath so switched to SDRs...
@swradiogram.bsky.social ...The California Zephyr image was captured with SDR in Mexico which had the best signal for a while. The signal picked up with the SDR in Massachusetts and so I switched over to get the last four. Now we travel to Canada and Tony's @popshopradio.bsky.social Program 428!
@swradiogram.bsky.social Over-the-air decodes in northern Florida, USA captured during Wednesday's WRMI broadcast on 15770 kHz, 1330-1400 UTC. Airspy HF+ with 90' doublet antenna. Who else got those distinctive left-side color/image shifts?
@swradiogram.bsky.social To mesh with our train travel themed programs, it's nice to see what's old is new again! All Aboard! www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/t...
@popshopradio.bsky.social Freddy Fender's 45rpm label decoded in northern Florida, USA during the WRMI broadcast on 5850 kHz Sunday evening. Aha! The Runaways - "Cherry Bomb" !! More great tunes on this week's show!
@swradiogram.bsky.social Reception of Sunday's 9955 kHz broadcast received using KiwiSDR in upper Massachusetts. Quality of decoded text can be judged by each image's Alt-Text.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Wowzah! WRMI came rolling into northern Florida Saturday night like some of that big iron shown blow! 9455 kHz, 2300-2330 UTC

@popshopradio.bsky.social Rockin 'round the house with Pop Shop's playlist! Tuned in late, but caught the last couple of songs before the Radiogram. Good reception of the 5950 kHz signal from WRMI here in northern Florida, USA.
@swradiogram.bsky.social Here are all the images I decoded during Saturday's 2300z broadcast. QTH: northern Florida, USA. Airspy HF+ with SDR# and active loop antenna.

@swradiogram.bsky.social Remote and local reception of this week's Birthday Radiogram segment during Mighty KBC's "The Giant Jukebox" music show with Eric van Willegen. Ben Folds is the featured artist.
@swradiogram.bsky.social The first group of images decoded in northern Florida, USA during Thursday's 2330-2400 UTC broadcast, 9265 kHz...
@swradiogram.bsky.social The second group received here in n. FL from the broadcast.
@swradiogram.bsky.social These are all of the images I decoded during Monday's overnight broadcast on 5850 kHz here in northern Florida, USA. I didn't decode any of the text broadcast earlier in the program, but did decode the closing text in MFSK32.
@swradiogram.bsky.social The Good, the bad, and well, there wasn't an Ugly one in the bunch. Two images to sum up reception at Casa WD4AH from yesterday's 2300z broadcast over WRMI on 9455 kHz. This is probably due to the seasonal change in earlier sunsets. We'll see in the coming weeks.
