Every single statewide elected official makes less than Portland City Council and local county commissions. Congresspeople don’t make much more. The governor makes less than six figures. State legislators aren’t paid a living wage. Want to have our best people doing these jobs? Raise the pay.

I'm telling you, he should think about running for statewide office! His name recognition is way up there now!

This event is tomorrow! Come hang out with some awesome candidates for Hillsboro City Council! Also Sad Boy Union is an awesome band!

A guy in a "stop dsa" shirt called me a bitch at the Washington County board of commissioners meeting today. He wants to end vote by mail and I called out how unpopular his stance was.

Dang we looked at the footage and the county administrator was talking at the same time and he wasnt caught on audio. Other folks heard it. Just goes to show when you speak truth to these maga jerks, they show you exactly who they are.

Every time I knock doors in Hillsboro, I come home fired up and ready to do more. The people of Hillsboro are some of the kindest, most thoughtful, and engaged people in the state. I also keep running into people I know. The small town vibe is INCREDIBLE... funny given how big it is.

I wanted to share some more of my thoughts on this article, and what is going on in Washington County. First off, I'm a big fan of this article. And it's not because I'm in one of the pictures in it. Seeing several of my friends and people I organize with be featured is pure joy.

I'm running for Chair of the WashCoDems in Nov. Building Bridges. Forming Coalitions. Going places where the Democratic Party isn't and bringing this energy with us. There are still two legislative seats held by republicans and several city councils with maga republicans in them. We're coming.

Also, come to Hex The Datacenters. Put a bunch of queer progressives in charge of a campaign, we're gonna have fun. We're making a statement with this event. Just look at the address on a map. It's at a farm house surrounded by data centers. Everyone is welcome www.mobilize.us/dianajackson...

I haven't knocked a bad door in my canvassing. Hillsboro is on fire right now against the data centers and the rising cost of living. I've never had an easier time or better conversations, it's filling me with so much energy. We are fighting the same fight, and we're getting organized

failure of capitalism. Folks just don't really articulate it very well if they don't have political education. That is what we're seeing in Washington County. We're seeing the complete destruction of our land for the growth of an industry that doesn't even pay taxes!

This is a movement. We've been building bridges everywhere we can. Personally, while I'm not a member of the DSA, I'm happy to collaborate and work in solidarity with members, because we do agree on a LOT. I've started to get pretty involved with the Oregon WFP, and they've been incredible out here

One of the big themes of my organizing is building bridges and allies with everyone in washington county. I feel like I said "We're all fighting the same fight" too many times that it's getting annoying but it's true! Every single person out here is fighting the same fights and against the same

all encompassing problem: Wealth Inequality and the pure outright failure of capitalism in creating a stable and healthy world we're excited to live in. Whether they are socialist, progressive, any form of leftist, moderate, centrist... not a single person "on the ground" is unaffected by the total

I think the article over focuses on DSA a bit. We have several DSA electeds and activists out here, and I love them dearly. This movement isn't _just_ the DSA though. We have WFP, we have Wash Co Dems. We have Indivisible Groups. There are so many different organizations and allies working together

We are having fun out here!

Hit my late 30s & now if I think about playing video games it triggers a disgust response. Don't think this is a universal feeling nor do I think it is a medium without merit. But I'm paralyzed by the thought of how much time I spent on them when I could have been doing something more constructive.

I've done over 200 doors already! Hillsboro has a lot of fun folks that are very receptive to our message. Come talk about three fantastic candidates that are trying to make the government work for the working class!

I laughed, went okay. She then asked the Wash Co Dems to endorse that cop funding measure. The vote was a 2/3rds requirement to pass, and it came down to one vote to pass. I looked her dead in the eye and voted no. We did not endorse the bond measure. I told her I don't vote for things like that

Anyway, vote for @nafisafai.bsky.social. She's put up with years of abuse from Kathryn, and Pam has just sat around silently. Nafisa is one of the strongest, kindest, and most dedicated folks I have ever met, and I'm proud to stand beside her.

A few of us in Washington County decided to protest it. I was part of that group, and I serve as the county party vice chair so she got really mad at me for it. She sent us a really pissy email afterwards demanding we cancel her recurring donations and to not expect anything from her ever again.

Well, she showed up 2 months later to one of our meetings to ask for an endorsement of the Wash Co Sherrif's bond measure. I was also gathering signatures at the time for IP 33, and I asked her to sign the petition, and she refused saying "I dont sign things like that"

So funny story with Kathryn. Last year she did a whole thing where she complied in advance with some trump admin executive orders and tried to remove "DEI" language from a bunch of documents that the county had passed. It succeeded (Pam Treece voted for it!).

I stand with @nafisafai.bsky.social, who is both rock solid on values and policies in a tough place, but also one of the easiest people in this type of work to get along with. Those are among the many reasons I have endorsed her for Washington County Chair. www.nafisaforwashingtoncounty.com

Outgong Washington County Chair Kathryn Harrington just flipped off Commissioner Nafisa Fai for... leaning forward in her chair. Commissioner Pam Treece (who is the centrist running against Nafisa) sat there and did nothing. Y'all, this is getting insane.

Nafisa has constantly been harassed by racist vitriol, including by a republican that goes to her events and gets in her face. And her supposed democratic party allies stand around and do nothing. Help us elect Nafisa Fai in November. www.nafisaforwashingtoncounty.com

I ran out of words and realized my post is a bit of a miss there. "Supposed democratic party allies on the commission" The county party stands with Nafisa. We've very proudly endorsed her.

Why arent there any comments from Nafisa Fai in this article? It quotes her opponent, Pam Treece, extensively, but nothing from Nafisa. Y'all could have waited a few hours to get this out to get a quote from the person most impacted by Kathryn's actions.

I'm trans. If Drazan wins, she's going to make life hell for people like us. We're in "I might have to leave the state i was born in" territory here. We. Cannot. Lose. This. Election. We also cannot lose our legislative supermajority either. OR constitution is still discriminatory to us.

We're still doing this huh? Myrna led the Washington County Democrats through a stretch routine to calm down the chaos after a Tigard City Councilor (who was white) implied an immigrant coming to tigard "recently" wasn't a valid Democrat. She calmed down that meeting real quick.

Sollman calls incident at Forest Grove public forum an ‘act of political violence.’

Myrna is not escalating any fight. She's bringing calm to a system that will chew people up and destroy lives. This ankle biting from the centrist wing has to stop.
