You know what would be cool? Living somewhere with: - GPs available more than once every two months - Public Transport - Any kind of real opportunity or industry Australia is all fair go as long as you are in the club, the rest just have to enjoy subsidising rich kids.

What's absolutely wild, is how some abusers will rely entirely on silence. The silence of those around them to hold account, the silence of all those who see it happen and do nothing, the silence of the systems of auditing and regulation that fail. The silence of the victims crushed.

Because the fallout, and the abusers know this, is cutting the victim out completely. Everyone asks what they could have done while the abuser rubs their hands together and watches the game they've rigged play out once more. And they make sure everyone around them watches and knows.

Because hey. Could be you right? Want some advice? Keep your mouth shut. Don't mention it. Don't want to risk your position, or chance at what's promised. So just hold on. Tow the line. And ignore all the blood being sacrificed. This is just the way we play the game, right?

Abusers who rely on societal systems and unspoken rules, all which embolden and enable abuse. Too many people pretend not to see it. They ask "what could I do?", they will say "I need my job/career!". Like the victims don't deserve a life. Just those who play by the rules. #thatsEvilFolks

While I can see the benefit in game jams, they come from a culture of grind. In college the 24 and 48s were gruelling soul shredding events. Why is it normalised? That's not how creative flow should work, and whatever benefits are far outweighed by the culture it creates reliant on burn. #gameDev

That's so cooool. Spend months applying to a government games grant, get no response at all. Full pitch, deck, marketing, demo, the lot, didn't even get a rejection email. Great way to waste time we couldn't afford, to not even get feedback. We deserved at least a 'no thanks'.
