The Kickstarter for the indie Galactic Defense Force Pilot was just cancelled… because it secured an institutional backer instead! 🎉 This is amazing news for the project, with the creator @rainbott.bsky.social saying “A relatively unknown project getting real funding? Huge win for indie animation!”

‘GALACTIC DEFENSE FORCE’ pilot produced by JoyBott Animation will release this Fall. The indie animated pilot features three original songs and will launch a Kickstarter in May to fund the final stretch of production. (Wanted to share the official announcement from Cartoons Base)
