Unfortunately it’ll just be two of us again for Halloween this year (one friend is literally in another country, another has to work), so I only need one boo basket. Here’s what I’ve got so far. And this ghostys are basically my halloweeny plans.

I don't need it, I need new cozy halloweeny stuff.

One day in October I was in a store and saw small pumpkin lanterns and artificial cobwebs, so I just decided: "Screw it, let's do Halloween!" 🎃👻🎃 I bought some black cardboard, paint and other stuff, and Halloween began.

Biggest holiday in Russia is New Year’s, but it feels too glitzy and artificially optimisti, plus state always tries to insert itself into festivities. And I’d lost interest in it by the time I was 11 or 12. So it's not my mood. But in my adult life I needed something bright, big and cheerful.

Pinterest has decided to bombard me with vegan recipes that are useless for Russia. Yeah, right, as if I can just easily buy vegan convenience foods, cheeses and cream. Sure, absolutely, in every store. Seriously, if store have tofu, it's a luck. Plant milk became norm just couple years ago.
