Trump was reelected because people thought their lives would be financially better. Wealthy people voted for him because they thought they would get richer. It’s all about $ for everyone. It appears it doesn’t matter if we live in a democracy or under a fascist regime as long as people get more $.

I just finished watching Chris Hayes interview with Rep. Ilhan Omar. I don’t always agree with her, but I have tremendous admiration for her. She is intelligent, strong, thoughtful, articulate, honest and very beautiful. She is everything Trump hates, especially in a Black woman. Great interview.

I was surprised and disappointed in the number of people that showed up for the No Kings event over the weekend. I hoped I miscalculated, but I didn’t. Attendance at Saturday’s protest in Sioux Falls was about 2,000 LESS than the previous one. I just don’t get it. It’s disheartening.

Trump and the GOP have retraumatized millions of people who were raped, sexually abused, physically abused, emotionally abused and psychologically abused. Was this retraumatization an intended or unintended consequence? I hope this, and the effects of, will be studied by social scientists.

I have compassion for Sen. Moreno’s daughter and granddaughter. Moreno said the sick people that look at half-naked pictures, that were released by Miller’s attorney, of his granddaughter should be jailed. I don’t recall Moreno saying the same thing about those in the Epstein files.

Nondisclosure agreements have caused a great deal of harm. They are a legal way for people to lie, continue immoral, destructive, abusive and illegal behaviors with absolutely no consequences. Think about all the things we could’ve known if it wasn’t for these agreements. They should be illegal.
