Trump must really be desperate if he thinks he needs to shore up the pedophile/rapist vote by backing Ramaswamy on this ghastly ad. Hasn't he done enough to earn their support already?

I just pulled the trigger and deleted my facebook profile due to Meta shutting down the NoKings Instagram profile on the day of NoKings 4. Zuck has told us which side he's on. He can shove his techno-fascism up where the sun don't shine.

Just in case, I suppose I'd better disavow the Muslim Brotherhood. Also ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah. Also the KKK, the American Nazi Party, Oathkeepers, Proud Boys, and TPUSA. Maybe publish a disavowal list and keep it up to date.

I have started the process of extricating myself from Facebook. This kind of behavior is the last straw for me.

Zuckerberg's own employees confirm that he directed an intentional effort to throw the Brazilian election in favor of Flávio Bolsonaro, apparently because he understood this is what Trump wanted. www.reuters.com/world/americ...

I was driving home from church just now and briefly found myself following a car with a bumper sticker that said "Stop hatred, support Trump". I thought what on earth could this person be thinking of.

That has been true for a long time now.

My take from the Smith hearings: To be a GOP senator today, you have to be a lying piece-of-shit, who puts loyalty to party & our lying piece-of-shit president, above their oaths to the Constitution & their obligations to tell the truth & do what rights to the American people! Repost if U agree

I subscribed to the Inquirer for a while to get Will Bunch. I ultimately couldn't justify a whole newspaper subscription just for him, but he's great. Nobody better for calling out naked emperors.

Dan Preston@danpreston.com

Will Bunch is why I subscribe to the Philly Inquirer. Here he calls out the media for (once again) sane washing Trump, in probably the most egregious case of all – his profoundly and dangerously unhinged speech to the UN last week. It's a 5-alarm fire folks. But you wouldn't know it reading the NYT.

I think I may start ending each social media post with "We are better off with the immigrants." Kind of like Roman senator Cato ended every speech with "Carthage must be destroyed." Another option, which I used to do years ago, is Voltaire's "Ecrasez l'infame".

Truth to tell, we've been the bad guys before. But now we have placed a man in power who has no trace of goodness in him, and he has surrounded himself with people like him. They have invited us into their moral cave, and about a third of us have accepted the invitation.

"What do we call it when a stronger person decides to rob a weaker person because he can? It is just gangsterism. We are the most dangerous gangsters in the world today." @hamiltonnolan.bsky.social www.hamiltonnolan.com/p/we-are-the...

Weiss' quashing of this report proves that she is unfit to lead a news organization. Nothing produced by CBS News during her tenure should be believed.

Looks like this was shared on GlobalTV in Canada and someone recorded it and sent it to multiple groups for wide distribution. Love it!!

The next step is to make sure Trump and his creatures actually release all of the Epstein files. They will surely release a carefully chosen subset of the least incriminating, and then falsely claim that they have handed everything over. Just like Trump did with the Mar-a-Lago files.

My take on this outcome is that there are serious weaknesses in the Dem camp, but they're not in legislative tactics. They are in politics and PR. The fact that everybody on the left is sharpening their knives for Schumer, and the media all call this a Dem "cave", is a huge communication failure.

Dems need to be in front of cameras, fighting for every news cycle, getting their position across. They need to be in the streets and holding daily news conferences. Some Dem who understands 21st Century media, maybe AOC, should be leading this. Not Schumer's skill set.

4. The compromise puts the ball back in the House's court. Mike Johnson will have to call the House back and swear in Rep. Grijalva, which will trigger the discharge petition and reactivate the Epstein files. Those files must be dynamite for Johnson to have kept the House on recess for two months.

Some of his points: 1. Schumer is actually good at Senate inside baseball. He proved his chops by passing Biden's legislation through a 50-50 Senate. There's no reason to think any of the other 40-odd Dem senators could do better.

2. Dems were never going to get everything they (and we) want. Minorities don't get everything they want. They got SNAP benefits extended for almost a year; re-hiring of Fed workers fired during the shutdown; back pay for furloughed workers; and a promise of a vote on ACA subsidies. Not nothing.

I think Congressional Dems should use the months of enforced idleness to conduct a People's House of Representatives on the Capitol steps. They should invite any Republicans who have reached their limit with their party's BS to join them. Hold hearings, pass legislation.

My wife and I just canceled our Amazon Prime membership. We try to vote with our money in favor of the kind of future we want, and what we want is fewer oligarchs, less late-stage capitalism, and less power of the few over the many.

This fits right in with the new theory that Epstein and Maxwell were running a kompromat shop: luring wealthy people into compromising positions, then selling the evidence to third parties interested in blackmailing those wealthy people. Epstein and Maxwell were getting paid at both ends.

The DOJ is requesting the names of two of Epstein’s co-conspirators whom he secretly wired money after his arrest in Miami, remain secret to respect their privacy. To hell with their privacy arrest them! #ProudBlue#Voices4Victory apple.news/AchHAgXqwS1W...
