Amazing early '90s promo for TNT's 100% weird. A late night movie block that aired bizarre B-movies, cult horror, and campy sci-fi films.

A little compilation of 12 Nick at Nite bumpers aired in 1990 during the Alfred Hitchcock Dead Give-a-Way Marathon. TV used to be fun!

From SPORTS CARTOONS (Lamb-Perlman Productions, 1985) Roughly 45 Sports Cartoons shorts were made, all featuring animals playing various sports and with a runtime between 40 seconds and 2 minutes each. These cartoons aired as filler segments on Nickelodeon from the late 1980s through the mid-1990s.

This was also one of Casper Kelly's earlier projects with adultswim. The director who would go on to direct the recent horror film Buddy, The Adult Swim Yule Log (1 and 2), and the Adult Swim viral short; Too Many Cooks!

On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.

Shout out to boomereboot who took the time to digitize and upload these tapes, these are excellent quality recordings (both audio and video are solid). And also to Alex for preserving them! Amazing time capsule. gofile.io/d/A03UfpHr

I had to say goodbye to my uncle yesterday who died suddenly, he still had so much life ahead of him but his time ran out. Life can feel like a burden sometimes, but it isn't. Every minute, every hour, every day is a blessing and we should live it, enjoy it and celebrate while we can.

These seem to be the best copies available for this show, still not the best, it was released by Echo Bridge Entertainment on DVD in different editions, last in 2009, all OOP now. You can also find this one on the internet archive in lower quality rips. IA (left) / AMZN (right)

Just saw this on Facebook. Someone was able to save over 90 issues from the 1920s magazine Movie Weekly and been scanning in HQ and uploading them to the internet archive. If you love silent films and actors from this period I think you'll have a great time reading these.

Shout out to Derek Nemeth for the amazing preservation work! The screenshots are from the August 8th, 1924 issue, you can find all the 1924 issues on this link: archive.org/details/movi... But make sure to check his channel as he's uploaded issues from other years as well.

Just a few of the many messages I've received this week. I don't take any of this for granted, not one bit. Thank you so much everyone, for your kind words and for reminding me how important rarefilmm is. Sometimes I forget. It's been 11 years, but we keep going! 💪🙏❤️

I've just synced the Cinema DTS audio track from your 35mm scan of "The Little Mermaid" to the official 4K Ultra HD release. I also included the Dolby Surround PCM track from the 1998 LaserDisc. My audio syncs can be found in this link below: archive.org/details/the-...

Thanks a lot to cinepth for the rip. This was downloaded from a Greek streaming service called Cinobo, it doesn't seem to be streaming in the U.S. either.

I think Criterion will be releasing this soon in a boxset with all or most of Soderberg's films but for now the only announced release for this film seems to be this boxset by Imprint which includes the original theatrical cut and a re-cut he made in 2021. viavision.com.au/products/dir...

A copy of CHANGES (1992), a 3-minute film Genndy Tartakovsky made while he was a student at CalArts, has leaked and is now available on the Internet Archive. The film was later retooled into the pilot for Cartoon Network's DEXTER'S LABORATORY, which aired on What a Cartoon! on February 26, 1995.

I don't know if there's much interest here in VHS recordings of anime, but if there is I can try finding more. Here's a link for the entire run of Neon Genesis Evangelion taped off of Adult Swim in 2005 and 2006. Ripped from 3 different tapes, some ads and bumpers are included. gofile.io/d/qgyuFw1J

Filling a request with the new restoration of Buzz Kulik's film noir THE YELLOW CANARY (1963), starring Pat Boone, Barbara Eden, and Steve Forrest. Yet to be released on home video and, until now, only circulating in an absolutely hideous-looking rip. transfer.it/t/YVyLodoVkRDS

Years ago the director of this movie went on Turkish TV and explained that this was never meant to be released to the public. It was just a joke he did with his friends but someone ended up uploading it to the internet and it exploded. Very few people in Turkey even knew it existed.

In Turkey, E.T. is called HOMOTI, he's gay and has a huge ass! lol

While we wait for his latest film to come out, here's a link to the almost complete filmography of John Wilson, plus his HBO series HOW TO WITH JOHN WILSON. Thanks a lot to mario_vila_ on Twitter for helping put this together. gofile.io/d/cQkgOXAp
