Fifth straight scoring drive for Wake Forest. 31 unanswered points since NC State took a 14-7 lead. Wolfpack fans heading to the parking lot in droves. Awful, awful second half for the Wolfpack.

Not sure you could draw up a worse third quarter for NC State. The Wolfpack held a 14-10 lead at the half and now finds itself down by three scores, 31-14, heading into the fourth quarter. Oh, and Wake has the ball to start the fourth.

NC State gets a golden opportunity with a 2-and-23 for Wake Forest and gives up a first down two plays later on illegal substitution. Lopez hits Foley for a 37-yard catch and Isaiah Shirley called for roughing the passer. Wake then scores to make it 31-14. Nightmarish third quarter for NC State.

A field goal there would have made this a one-score game, but NC State failed on a 4th-and-5 instead. Now Wake has a chance to take a three-score lead as NC State fans are booing inside Carter-Finley Stadium.

Carlos Hernandez and Jack Foley have a combined 15 receptions for 197 yards and 2 TDs. NC State has no answer for either of them and Wake Forest has a 24-14 lead with 7:29 left in the third quarter as a result.

Trips left and no one accounts for Carlos Hernandez at the edge of the end zone. Wake Forest takes a 17-14 lead with 10:44 left in the third quarter. That's now five times in six games the NC State defense has given up an opening-drive touchdown in the second half. Richmond was the lone outlier.

On 3rd and 4, NC State sent zero pressure and Gio Lopez had all day to throw it. He finds Carlos Hernandez big gain, but the TD is overturned. Wake Forest will have first and goal at the eight-yard line.

Bullet Gause with a smooth move to pick up the first down. He makes the catch on the boundary, makes the linebacker miss with a juke and picks up a 12-yard gain.

Where were you for the Chance Robinson breakout game? Robinson finds a soft spot in the zone and takes it for a first down. He now has 2 catches for 48 yards and a TD. CJ Bailey is 12-for-12 after a six-yard pass to Preston Douglas to get to the Wake 31-yard line.

Gio Lopez to Carlos Hernandez picks up the first down on 4th and 5, but Wake Forest called for pass interference, creating a 4th and 15. Wake punts it down to the NC State four-yard line to start the third offensive drive.

How on Earth do you call pass interference when the ball was 10 feet above the receiver's head? And now NC State calls its first timeout on 3rd and 5 with 4:35 left in the first quarter..

The Chaminade-Madonna connection is back! CJ Bailey with an absolute dime to Chance Robinson for a 24-yard touchdown. That's Robinson's first career TD. NC State 7, Wake Forest 7 with 8:17 left in the first quarter.

Will Wilson was clearly down. That should be a first down and NC State will get the ball back.

Now Jojo Trader has returned to the sidelines in a boot. After being without Spike Sowells and Jimarion McCrimon before the game, NC State has now lost Duke Scott, Yousef Mugharbil and Trader throughout the night.

Harvey Dyson redemption tour begins. Two incredibly important fourth-quarter plays for the veteran EDGE -- a forced fumble and a third-down sack -- are giving the Wolfpack life. NC State 31, Louisville 28 with 3:56 left to play.

Popo Aguirre with his third fumble recovery on the night gives NC State's offense the ball back at its own 13-yard line. Aguirre now has the NC State record for fumble recoveries and is one fumble recovery away from the all-time mark of four set by North Texas State's Olin Henry in 1973.

Looks like this play may get overturned, according to the ACC Game Day Operations Center. Hell of a play by Harvey Dyson and NC State gets another massive break on a turnover.

Isaac Brown 70-yard rush straight up the middle and this one is tied up at 28-28 with 12:27 left in the fourth quarter. This now marks the third straight week NC State has allowed a team to come back and tie or take the lead after having a two-touchdown lead in the second half.

Ke'Von Carter knocks the ball loose to force a fumble and Popo Aguirre gets his second fumble recovery of the game. NC State gets the ball from the Louisville 41-yard line. A facemask penalty on Louisville on the first play puts the Wolfpack at the Louisville 21.

CJ Bailey with a perfect pass to Jojo Trader for a would-be first down, but Trader with a terrible drop -- his second drop of the game. The first was for a potential touchdown, this one for a first down. The Pack punts the ball 27 yards to the Louisville 34-yard line.

Boy, Jackson Vick is not gonna enjoy watching the film from this game tomorrow. His second missed tackle leads to an explosive play for Tre Richardson, who takes what should have been a three-yard gain for a 38-yard touchdown. NC State 20, Louisville 14 with 8:05 left in the third quarter.

Major cojones from Dave Doeren to go for it on 4th-and-2 and CJ Bailey hits a wide-open Keenan Jackson for the conversion. CJ Bailey then throws a dime to Tyran Warren for a 34-yard touchdown -- Warren's first in an NC State uniform. NC State 20, Louisville 7 with 11:03 left in the third.

Louisville completely lost Preston Douglas despite the pre-snap motion and CJ Bailey hits him for a 35-yard reception. NC State is in the red zone on the very next play, with CJ Bailey keeping it and rolling out for a nine-yard pickup to get to the Louisville 20.

Three near turnovers on this drive by Louisville -- fumble and two tipped passes dropped by NC State -- but the Cardinals ultimately turn it over on downs on a failed 4th-and-1 attempt. Massive stop by freshman Jordan Moreta on the tackle to stop Kienholz on the QB keeper.
