We started the day with a soccer game, then went to a hog roast celebrating the recent wedding of friends. It's a stunningly beautiful day out west of Nashville. Perfect. Also, if you've already voted, yay you! If you haven't, DO IT!!!

Did my part. I don't hold a great deal of hope here in Tennessee, but we must do our part.

Bought my ticket 2 months ago, with upgrade to 1st. I don't fly that much and it's worth it to me to be comfortable. Checked in this morning with no seat assignment. Less than amused. Got a seat now, all good, but told this is due to broken seats on the plane that haven't been replaced. Wtf?

I'm on the porch having my coffee. We're pretty much surrounded by forest. There's a bird out there somewhere screeching with the exact rhythm of the drums at the intro to 'Money for Nothing.' It's one of the coolest things ever! Astrid is mad because I won't let her chase a bunny.

I have the coffee maker set up to cook coffee at 0530 every morning so I can pour a cup as soon as I get downstairs. This morning it was still brewing away. It was making these happy little noises, sounded like it was saying "yippee". I agree. Yippee for coffee!

It's not a wine glass but I'm not fancy. A nice pinot noir in a nice glass from the Oklahoma City Zoo.

Great day for guitar on the porch!

We've got a winter blast coming in tomorrow. But today, the porch is beautiful. It looks, feels and sounds like spring. I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts.

Finally nice enough weather to do some serious clean up after the ice storm. We'll have a pretty impressive bonfire tomorrow if the weather permits.
