Came home to find my bike has been stolen, so if anyone sees a black Honda NC750X number plate KE71 ONA then please tell the police. #motosky

I woke up in the middle of the night and it took about an hour to get back to sleep. The window was open, my bedroom was 31.2°C.

Today I learned there is a CR7 that is not Thornton Heath.

Why Prime Ministers resigned over the past decade: Lost a referendum Lost control of parliament Tried to prevent the suspension of an ally and held illegal parties Lost the economy Was himself

Cricket Regulator: "there is insufficient evidence to establish that any regulatory breach occurred" ECB: "no blame should be attached to the players for violent conduct at the nightclub" And yet, also ECB "[they] breached … obligations … to at all times maintain the highest standards of conduct"

While everyone else is focussing on the merry-go-round of bigots (nothing shows me the current one will be replaced by anyone better), the actual weather forecast for a big chunk of the U.K. on Wednesday and Thursday is 101°F (38°C) and very humid. Maybe we should be focussing on that?

I have not gone out today as I did this yesterday, so now I have to wait several days for a replacement.

I have no idea how but I appear to be on a list, as I keep receiving personally address leaflets for the council by election. Which I could tolerate until I had a letter from the racist et al party leader. At least it cost him the postage, the local candidates have the sense to use volunteers.

There is a possibility I might have broken my motorbike. At least it is now sitting there with a loose wheel and a loose brake pad as I have no idea how to get the wheel back on. Hopefully a forum post will yield an answer other than to pay an expert to repair it. Not good.

For a match where the result was never in doubt, South Africa vs Pakistan was such a fun and tense match. So much tighter than it actually was. Amazing from Fatima Sana. What could have been but for a 50/8 start then a couple dropped catches.

The Google AI slop footage of the Netherlands in the World Cup is also funny.

The awfulness of social media comments kills off one of the best YouTube channels, which gave excellent thoughtful motorcycle road safety advice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-SJ...

What a great start to the World Cup, an exciting match with Netherlands just losing to Bangladesh, and now Sri Lanka beating New Zealand.

People take want my vote this time. But really, Labour candidate, you are already rebelling against your party with a promise to "treat everyone fairly"? Mind, to be fair, it is only a selective list of protected characteristics so maybe she was not including me anyway.

Thank you for Cardiff 2005, John Kear.

It is a good idea to not leave checking the bike until the night before I want to ride it. Especially when I already suspected the chain was already at the adjuster limit. But that was the idea I decided to go with. And I cannot even have a lie-in instead now because of the heat.

When you read anything about equality, always substitute the terms used with different groups that experience discrimination and places it may happen to decide whether it is right or wrong. Such as what can justify telling Rosa Parks where she must sit on a bus, if even letting her on one at all.

No it's not an AI generated image. It's the platform at Streatham Common Station. A car crashed through the wall. Get the impression from my wife, who witnessed it, that there was nobody at the station to report it to.

Bank holiday weekend: 1,125 miles Completely stupid and way too hot for it. But my first time in Exmouth, I finally got to Ynys y Barri, and finally a good experience in Leicester. Somehow my biking improved too. Thankfully no more bank holidays for a while, now if only it would cool down too.

Saturday I also went to a body of water but it was not as busy as today. Not as oppressively hot as yesterday, t more muggy than today.

I have not been feeling the most confident and/or comfortable on the bike recently. Then yesterday in Northampton someone ran a red light at me on a roundabout. I was paying attention, stopped, so nothing to it. But I was riding do much better after. Probably a coincidence but an odd day.
