Just graduated! rushing for the holidays, but this was fun to think about.

I’m watching teens age 15-18. They constantly interact through technology. The first digital generation, they are less biased. They interact with people from all over the world. They are less prejudice. They are global citizens I’m 50+ my world is changing. Positive Outlook

I was just writing about communication… How the world becomes what we speak into it. Communication is how we express who we are and what we want to become. It’s easy to get caught in memory and thought. When we ask questions and act with kindness– we make a + difference.

Self-awareness isn’t about dissecting yourself or endlessly analyzing who you are. It’s much more alive and simple. At its heart, self-awareness begins with the ability to feel into yourself—to sense what’s happening inside your body and emotions—rather than thinking or judging.

I’m particularly interested in the Dalai Llama’s teachings about secular ethics. It’s a compelling and universal argument not weighed down by morality.

I think it’s more deeply rooted. Unless people want to reach outside and think about the fact there’s more than one reality and get curious about it —if not, then people are just stuck—pretty flat in one way of thinking. Everyone has the same opportunity. – Wherever we’re at.

👏Life is basic and unfathomable—it’s elegant. I paused to read the quote below, and it made me smile. Quite astounding, really.

“Self” doesn’t exist in our minds. We make ourselves every day. Wisdom is choosing how we interpret circumstances and being aware that we are a living, relational power.

Growth can be uncomfortable. It depends (like being a mom is not uncomfortable. It’s awesome). But generally speaking, when things are tough we look into our souls, and sometimes the reflection helps us realize we want to change.

I know this place—-not the beach, but the Way of looking. It’s a breath and immersion. Those are my favorite beach moments.
