Most small business sites do not need a redesign. They need faster pages, a phone number that works, and one clear next step. Boring fixes pay for themselves before clever layouts do. #webdev #smallbusiness

When you reuse a client concept as portfolio material, make it fully fictional first. Swap every photo for licensed stock, remove live booking links, replace real names and contact details with placeholders. Then you can share it anywhere. #webdev #buildinpublic

Spent the day turning a concept redesign into a fully fictional demo studio. Swapped every real photo for licensed stock, removed 26 live booking links, added a placeholder owner bio and a tiny visit counter. Now it can be shared without pointing at a real business. #webdev #buildinpublic

Shoutout to @christerpapa.bsky.social He is building Kanbanq, a minimal project board, and the small details stand out: teammates who join by email show up as names like Curious Otter instead of New User, and a burst of board moves folds into one activity line. Care shows. #buildinpublic

Most image compressors upload your files to a server. Mine runs fully in your browser: JPG, PNG, WebP, nothing leaves your machine. Free, no signup. redfstudios.com/tools/image-... #webdev #buildinpublic

A big chunk of the small web is down today over one php issue. Quiet argument for boring technology: a plain static site has almost nothing that can fall over this way. Boring is a feature. #webdev #buildinpublic

Small site tip I keep handing out: add open graph tags. og:title, og:description, og:image. Without them your link posts as a bare url. With them you get a proper preview card everywhere it gets shared. Ten minutes of work, every future share looks better.

Need a PDF page as an image? I made a converter that turns PDF pages into JPG or PNG, up to 300 DPI. Free, runs in your browser, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools/pdf-to-img/?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=pdf-to-img

Redid my app's store listing screenshots this weekend. The store only surfaces the first two or three shots, so each one now carries exactly one idea. Fewer rows, bigger headlines, same product. Curious what that does to conversion.

Fair. Real use finds the sharp edges a test plan never would. The fixes that come out of it tend to stick too.

Big PDF blocking an email or portal upload? I made a compressor that shrinks it right in your browser. Three quality levels, metadata stripped by default. Free, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools/pdf-compressor?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=pdf_compressor

Shoutout to @luminousmusicapp.bsky.social. Luminous is a free music player for Windows and Linux built around the library you already own, and 3.1 just shipped ASIO output and faster startup on big libraries. Steady, useful updates.

Before you split a big PDF to fit an email attachment limit, try compressing it first. Most limits sit around 20 to 25 MB, and a compression pass is often enough. Splitting is the better call when you only need to share a few pages.

Need a QR code for a link, Wi-Fi login, contact card or plain text? Our QR generator makes it in your browser. Free, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools/qr-code-generator?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=qr_generator

Email bounced because the attachment is too big? Our image compressor shrinks JPG, PNG and WebP to a target size you pick, like 100 KB or 200 KB. Runs in your browser. Free, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools/image-compressor?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=image_compressor

Four ways to split a PDF: by page range, every page, specific pages, or an equal number of pages per file. It runs in your browser. Free, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools/split-pdf

Image to PDF: turn several images into a single PDF file in seconds. It runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device. Free, no sign up. redfstudios.com/tools
