Once again, the usual players are the ones who show themselves up as giving not a single fuck about actual child safety and wellbeing, especially when it comes to sexual abuse.

for the midterms, it would be really nice if 100% of people could come together and not vote for The Quite Obviously PDFiles party

so effectively terrifying

Horror is famous for its jump scares, but what about the quieter, subtle moments that exist just for the viewers: a glimpse of a ghost just behind a protagonist, a demon that only we get to see? Let's talk about some terrifying moments of background horror in film and TV 🎈

the news from both Brazil and Serbia is leaving me with a feeling I’ve not had at the formative hours of the week for… months? Years? Just a little light shining through the near constant murk

I’ll be thinking about this for weeks. It’s everything I could have wanted and more. I’m not sure where Remedy can go or how they can top the sheer scale and depth of Resonant. A return to the comparatively cozy, nightmare world of Alan Wake, whenever that happens. Hopefully not 12 years

I forgot to add one final point to this review, which is playing in one of the more psychedelic & upside-down-and-inside-out environments of CR after a smoke is *reeeeeeeeaally* fucking fun lmao I got lost under the city and in the various tunnel systems a lot. The final battle especially is a trip

The gameplay mechanics dovetail fluently with the Escher-Inception-Dr Strange environments, flipping and twisting, and you’re in complete control of it. The combat flows nicely, if a little simply, a parry mechanic would have added another dimension but the dodge and extra attacks compensate

It’s in the world building and taking what made Control so charming, baffling, and intriguing in equal measure which elevates it further. It takes everything Control introduced and builds it up to skyscraper heights. So many little tidbits of expanded universe with new elements blended in seamlessly

The obvious stuff: I’ve never played a game that’s made me whisper ‘wow’ as much as this, and a huge part of that is down to the level design and visuals going hand in hand throughout. It’s by far the most beautiful and stunning looking game I’ve ever played.

No this one might be even better, I just learned it a minute ago: in the infamous business card scene in American Psycho, on every card, the word ‘acquisition’ is spelled incorrectly; ‘aquisition’. hobancards.com/blogs/though...

hobancards.comThe Business Cards of American PsychoOver the years of designing and printing business cards and calling cards, there is one famous card that is referenced time and time again. This card’s celebrity status comes from a three-minute movie scene and is visible for about four seconds, yet it has become one of our most requested cards. It is, of course, Paul Allen’s Pierce & Pierce business card from the 2000 horror/thriller film, American Psycho.

We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting? For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.

That Sigourney Weaver made that no-look, backwards throw from downtown in one take in Alien: Resurrection youtu.be/a3u4uDwLzNI?...

That’s sub-Trussian. Even a literal lettuce would have had a better shot at gainful employment.

BREAKING NYT: Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was fired Friday, after less than a week on the job, according to three people familiar with the matter.

This scene I don’t get flustered all that often over sauciness in most contexts but this had me switching every fan in my room onto full. It was amazing.
