I think it's kind of bullshit that we've all just decided to accept the fact that motion activated sinks don't work

rewarded myself for massive amounts of work done by doing a personal doodle. petitcru (the dog) looks fucking awful but i'm too lazy to redraw it

Some Stygtober commissions of SaraLocke's Stygians! Dark Ritual, Graveyard, Kaiju, and Space Invader

Commission for Stormy! I got pretty free rein with this one, request was for specific spooky vibes with a borzoi silhouette, dark color, white nature features.

just got back from You Can See Everything I am so fucking mad about it (high praise) (baffled) (one of the best things I've ever seen)

i hear a lot of excuses about people still using x and to some extent i am sympathetic but also if you have not left by now that's pure skill issue, i'm sorry

Why is so much like really high level fine dining classic cooking obsessed with removing texture from food. Can rich people only use their gums why is everything pushed through a sieve and blended

i actually really like my job but it's really insulting to be working 15/hr mall retail and for your managers to always say "let's get out there and make money!" when telling everyone how close you are to the store's sales goals like. i am making the same amount of money. regardless.

Few emotions as grim as sitting in your car before going into work and knowing it's about to be a fuckass shift

i wrote a fuckin essay about how wrong they were and was like wow this was an embarrassing waste of my time but typing essays about jane austen is enrichment for me, but then they deleted their own post so actually every time i type an essay online i am Justified and Correct Actually

just saw someone confidently answering someone's question to say that the premise of pride and prejudice is that darcy is a pushy guy who won't take no for an answer and I think some people shouldn't be allowed to have opinions online actually

i want to frame this and hang it somewhere i can look at it all the time lol

i get it, i don't have 50k followers (which doesn't benefit you) like i did on the nazi app, but THE LEAST you can do is hit the fucking follow button. way too many mfers were friendly on the other app because it helped them but won't give a nobody the time of day over here. smd, respectfully

Ai situation so bad: stared at reusable shopping bag sad that I was afraid to buy it lest I be accidentally supporting AI until I recognized half the foliage brushes in the art as the same ones I use. Absolute ecstatic delight to perceive human work, bought it.

Shout-out to devin elle kurtz for keeping the landscape digital painting industry afloat to such an extent that we're using the presence of The Good Stick and That One Tree to identify human art lol you're a real one @devinellekurtz.bsky.social

Repeating "it's not true that EVERYTHING is awful" over and over to myself like a spell I can cast against the fact that pretty much everything that matters is awful

I don't watch Geller but I have so many complicated thoughts and feelings about this due to my history and I need to vent them somewhere but idk if bsky is the place tbh lol

A Wayne White (?) MTV bumper where a puppet put a dog in a blender. Later went to an amazing Wayne White show in college and was sad this piece was not present so that I could revisit my childhood trauma

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

Controversial but I think if ur an online artist there are things you should teach yourself not to care about: non-$ reposting to small audience, small time theft that hardly anyone sees, design/style "copying" even when it's real (usually isn't lol), people printing ur stuff irl, etc.

Literally always works in these situations. Get mad when people are straight up stealing your direct audience and your money, and just train yourself to let the rest go. You will be so much less stressed. Someone on Furcadia stole my oc name and art and all once. My reaction was "who cares"

I only cared that no one would think it was me ooc and no one did because of the bio links etc. therefore: who cares. Cannot tell you how much zen this adds to your online creative experience.

Post brought to you by an acquaintance fretting about someone stealing a design of theirs. I do think it was probably very strongly inspired by (to the point of a rip off) given the evidence but also like, the best move is to just say "I do not care" and move on

Forty years old and so mad at an online moderator I want to cause Problems, shameful behavior tbh and yet

Also there's about four people who are gonna read this and know exactly who the fuck it's about and that's kinda the issue lol

i have got to get new glasses soon but for me that means i have to cough up for an eye exam including retinal imaging and then hyper specialized lenses and im like man i do not have the time or the funds for this nonsense

people are saying perimenopause isnt real and im not a doctor but i know that since i hit 40 my feet swell up like balloons and i have major hot flashes during every period and that's never happened to me before so idk man

Look, like it or not, Something Awful quietly solved moderation 20 years ago. This, the lepers colony, tiered probations, bans, and permas.

cee@cee.wtf

unironically i think that social media rules/guidelines should basically just be "if our moderation team wants to, they can ban you for any or no reason", same as basically every irl private business

Sometines you stumble on a post and it's a total stranger with no views and nothing to do with you and yet you still gotta close the tab to avoid saying "dude just shut the fuck up"
